QB Devin "Utah" Brown (Official Thread)

Curious as what’s funny @AuTX Buckeye
Sorry given some of my earlier comments I figured it would be obvious. I don't know that Day will ever get the backup much of a playbook, or playing time, even in blowouts. As someone said in another thread ... we'll see Devin when its like 63-10 and then he'll just be running or handing off so as to not "run up the score with backups in". I hope I'm wrong, but I've started drinking from the same bottle Jaxbuck has been drinking out of with regard to Day.

Ha ha sorry. I wasn’t paying full attention. I hear you though. I feel, as others do, that we’re here due to the lack of playing time Kyle saw in the CJ years.

I trust Day when it comes to the QB position and picking the right guy for his game plan. But, I don’t think he gives the backups the opportunities they need to progress.

Has he learned? I don’t know. We shall see.

Make every rep count because he's only 1 play away.

Call the regular Offense not some modified playlist from the JT Barrett offense and let the kid figure out how to throw vs D1 defenses.

A lot of potential. TD pass yesterday was beautiful and looked effortless. Looks like me trying to throw that PA rollout though. Glad he's getting reps to iron out the essentials.

If he sticks around, next spring could be VERY interesting.

Love the kids charisma, and his accuracy is getting better. This will pay dividends if McCord needs a rest for whatever reason later on this year. We won’t be bringing in some untested, unknown young backup, but instead someone that could be starting at 90% of other FBS programs this year.
