Also the same away from being a starter on a National Championship level teamI agree with most of what you said, except about his play. We've never actually seen him play much, because he's always injured. He was battling McCord in camp, and then gets injured. He's inserted in GL situations to get game reps and save McCord's legs, gets injured. He has his first real opportunity to show the Buckeye and CFB world his talents, and he gets injured mid way through the Cotton Bowl. Are we seeing a theme here?
I like the kid, he has a great leadership personality and I'm sure is a hard worker. But at a place like OSU, if you can't stay healthy there's a guy as talented as you waiting for their shot too. And Brown is a sprained wrist, ankle, etc from being possibly 4th string in this QB room.
Same, I admire him staying here to compete but the truth is that when he has played, his performance is akin to Bauserman. I know he didn't play much last week but we've seen plenty of his play and with another year in the system, I think it is pretty clear Devin will never start here. He constantly misses wide open receivers by a mile and his running ability was oversold. Maybe he looks great in practice (prompting coaches to sing his praises) but in the actual game it is pretty tough to watch.Love the kid but I got a feeling Utah is exactly where he's going to end up. All love for him and Keinholtz both.

Just being brutally honest but I want Sayin coming in behind Howard. The best players play and if you don't perform in a game, it is that simple. The Akron game was borderline regression and we have to prepare for our future after Howard leaves, or God forbid this year if he gets injured.
Suspect that's part of the problem... Devin may be looking great in practice... but not the same Devin in game action..Not entirely certain Day & Co would see it this way, but maybe they've seen enough in practice ...
When asked about the 1 hander from Devin Brown to Jeremiah Smith:
"They (MSU) didn't really wanna play after that"
