I still really really hope he's offered. He is good enough to compete for QB at OSU. Also, wise to keep it very Red and Scarlet in Cleveland.

Two QBs after all?
Ohio State Buckeyes
A source close to the Ohio State program tells ESPN affiliate Bucknuts.com that the Buckeyes are likely to take two QBs in this class after all. Top target Braxton Miller (No. 16 in the ESPNU 150) is already committed, but he supposedly is aware of (and OK with) the plan to take a second, largely for depth purposes. (Supposedly the staff is still not sold on any QB on the roster other than Terrelle Pryor.)
So who will be OSU's second QB commitment? The smart bet is on three-star Cardale Jones of Cleveland, who remains confident of an offer even though one has not yet come. Once he gets his test score squared away, the last obstacle might be removed and Jones would be on his way.

Is there any merit to that, or is it just more delusional thinking? I am happy to hear that he really wants to be a Buckeye despite the Miller commitment. I hope he gets the offer.
For the last year, any good player with a mild chance of signing with Michigan has been tossed atop 'Best Guess' lists by insiders. They were even listing no-shot guys like Braxton Miller, Trey DePriest and Ron Tanner for a good part of this winter/spring.buckandguinfan;1715326; said:I have a scUM fan friend that thinks they now have a good shot at getting Jones since Miller committed to tOSU. Buckeyes awaiting Jones test score?
Ohio State Buckeyes
The folks at ESPN affiliate Bucknuts.com are hearing that despite having landed their top (and thus far only) target at QB, four-star Braxton Miller, Ohio State indeed is close to offering three-star QB Cardale Jones of Ohio.
Bucknuts first mentioned on Tuesday that the staff is merely waiting on Jones to earn a standardized test score that will pass muster with the admissions department; once he reports that, an offer will be forthcoming. The site reiterated on Thursday that multiple sources indicate that Jones is likely to get an offer.
Given that he's been talking about getting an OSU offer for a while, expect Jones to accept as soon as one is extended, and for the Buckeyes to have a pair of QBs capable of starting for a national title contender.

Cardale Jones evaluation
"Jones is a monster athlete with a huge arm, terrific measurables and physical tools that are very impressive. He has great size, is tall and well built and has long arms and big hands. He plays in the shotgun spread exclusively and displays the ability to make a variety of throws both from within the pocket and out on the perimeter. Possesses one of the strongest pure throwing arms in the class and can make every throw on the field. He looks like a pure pocket guy, but will surprise you with his feet and initial quickness. Shows good pocket presence and buys a lot of second-chance opportunities with his athleticism. He is a threat to take off and run. Will steamroll smaller defenders that try and tackle him. Has above-average speed and some elusiveness to make defenders miss in space."
