Game Thread Purdue at tOSU, Oct 20th, Noon ET, ABC/ESPN2

D has actually performed better than I thought except for that first play (time for Storm to sit on the bench for a while). But because the offense has sucked (hard to sugar-coat it), the defense has been on the field most of the first half.

OSU is just not a very good team. They'll lose to Penn State, Wisconsin, and definitely Michigan. Could lose this game, but I expect them to get it together in the 2nd half.

This Buckeye team is not the best I've seen in my time. Just saying...

No doubt that brighter days are ahead of us. It just won't be in 2012. Nebraska was the best we'll feel all year.

Last I checked we're still undefeated and this game is far from over.

Better days? I agree with you. But we've had far worse ones than this year, as recently as last year.

Defense is not the problem today. First play was bad, then two three and outs. The long drive was aided by some questionable calls/spots, and ended with an interception. Another 3 and out, and a missed long ass field goal.

Defense is still A problem, just not THE problem.

Sorry, I meant ST. Also, there's no way we deserve to be top 10. I think we're a fringe top 25 team this season. Yes, at some points (and for some quarters) we play like a top 10 team, but so has every other team in the nation for brief periods of time.

I'm not complaining, just laying it as I see it. Everyone expected troubles on offense, and that's clearly what we're seeing right now. It's the D that annoys me, although it hasn't been TOO bad this game.

Our Defense has only given up 6 pts.... no complaint there.

Braxton is totally off today. Probably the poorest passing performance and
making reads handing off that I have seen from him in a long, long time.

OL is being dominated by Purdue's DL...Warrnier needs to make some adjustments or its just going to be more of the same. Give Braxton some
time... Smith is getting open. Let's see some roll outs with option to run or throw. Let's see a screen or shovel pass. Make the Purdue DL pay for being so aggressive.

LET'S GO BUCKS!!!

:oh:

None of the three teams you named is any fucking good either.

What we are seeing is Ohio State getting exposed.

This isn't a good football team, I don't care what the rankings say. The idea that this team could compete for a NC next year really seems laughable right now doesn't it? I mean, what's going to change between now and next season? The O will be better next year but the D is atrocious. They've played crap teams to this point and today they are playing to the level of another crap team.

Its been ugly but no need to panic. We are down a whole 6 points despite making every mistake in the book.

No talent at WR, LB, S and an O line that for whatever reason decided they don't have to play today.

Purdue's D line is absolutely [censored]ing them up today and they don't seem to mind.

Purdue 20
OSU 13

That's what I'm seeing right now. Hope I'm wrong.
You know, I generally agree with all of this, but why are you waiting until the Purdue game of all things to type this? We could of beaten Alabama, LSU, and Oregon, by 30 pts each and still look like total dog shit because that's just what Purdue does. They do it every year. We could have Troy Smith, Beanie Wells, Michael Jenkins, Cris Carter, etc. and we'd probably still struggle with Purdue because they're Purdue. 2010 when we got in that ass was a complete aberration.
