Game Thread Purdue at tOSU, Oct 20th, Noon ET, ABC/ESPN2

At least we get the ball first in the 2nd half. Don't know if that's a good thing or not.

You are also aware that historically, the late 90s and early 2000s were the absolute peak of Purdue football in the modern era right?

Your constitution towards historical trends is weak. BTW your initial point was still incorrect.

Stop being thick, you know exactly what I meant. I missed one game out of 6-7 that supported exactly what I said. And I know that Purdue was good in the late 90s and early 2000s, but they've been 7-6, 5-7, and 4-8 the last 3 times they've played OSU.

You know that if we come back, people will be predicting we "get our shit together" and blow out Penn State big next week, as they have for the past 7 weeks. I thought we either edge Purdue or lose this one, and so far this team is living up to my expectations. We need to cut out the streaky-ness. And what the hell is wrong with the D?

What we are seeing is Ohio State getting exposed.

This isn't a good football team, I don't care what the rankings say. The idea that this team could compete for a NC next year really seems laughable right now doesn't it? I mean, what's going to change between now and next season? The O will be better next year but the D is atrocious. They've played crap teams to this point and today they are playing to the level of another crap team.

No talent at WR, LB, S and an O line that for whatever reason decided they don't have to play today.

Purdue's D line is absolutely [censored]ing them up today and they don't seem to mind.

Purdue 20
OSU 13

That's what I'm seeing right now. Hope I'm wrong.

Gee, it's 09' all over again.

Couple things.

  • Danny Hope is a bitch. By transitive property, Kwaan short is as well.
  • Shazier. He'll over run plays, bust fast and hits hard. Light bulb soon.
  • I can't remember the last time we had a pair of safety's this bad.
  • Oline isn't getting much push
  • WR's need to learn to either comeback to QB or get deep on broken plays. Not just muddle around.

This Buckeye team is not the best I've seen in my time. Just saying...

No doubt that brighter days are ahead of us. It just won't be in 2012. Nebraska was the best we'll feel all year.

Maybe it's time to give Kenny a shot.

I respectfully disagree. There's a lot more going wrong than Braxton. He's our guy. We need to work through this with him at the helm.

Defense is not the problem today. First play was bad, then two three and outs. The long drive was aided by some questionable calls/spots, and ended with an interception. Another 3 and out, and a missed long ass field goal.
