Remember how Jim Tressel got that suspension with the Indianapolis Colts? I wonder if the NFL will give Chip Kelly any penalty, if the NCAA deems he violated rules, or will the two parties continue to be hypocritical.

The university gave a statement to The Oregonian on Monday night following the documents' release that read: "The review is ongoing until the NCAA Committee on Infractions issues its final report. The integrity of the process and our continued full cooperation with the NCAA prohibits us from publicly discussing the specifics of this matter."

I guess Miami is not concerned about those things? Oregon will handle it the old fashioned way; a backroom deal brokered by Nike.

Lied to his superiors at Ohio State and the NCAA to keep five star players eligible for a national championship run season.

Neither his dismissal nor the subsequent Failure to Monitor charge were the result of "free tattoos." They were the result of the lying and the cover up.

Agreed, but similar stories can be told about Carroll, cryami, Kelly and just about anyone else (SEC, SEC!). And I think the lack of consistency is the point. We fully deserved the punishment we received. It would be nice to see others receive like punishment for like or worse infractions.

That being said the ncaa is a joke and has lost any version of credibility

True, but it's hard to say Kelly and Oregon didn't lie to the NCAA by rushing to submit some bullcrap report from Lyles to make it look like their dealings were legitimate, and this blatent cheating was clearly all about winning.

If Oregon doesn't receive a postseason ban for this the NCAA should just not fkin bother anymore
