Sucks for the Eagles. They're about to be without their new coach for a while.

LOL JUST KIDDING HAHAHAHAHA CONSISTENCY WHAT?

I'm guessing the distinction that the NFL will draw is that JT already had his suspension handed to him before he took the NFL job. Carroll and Kelly both jumped ship before the NCAA hammered their programs, escaping any liability themselves.

Could the NCAA still apply a show cause to Kelly even if he's no longer associated with them? If he flops in the NFL he may be back in the NCAA in two years.

Since Oregon is one of preseason favorites to win the BCS Championship:

Odds to Win 2014 BCS Championship Game at Bovada as of June 20:

Alabama 3/1
Ohio State 13/2
Texas A&M 13/2
Oregon 7/1
Georgia 14/1

Wouldn't it be a "dirty rotten shame" if they got a post season ban for 2013?

I would be bowled over if they got anything more than a slap on the wrist. I'm sure Phil Knight's pockets kept the damage minimal.

If this whole thing (paying for players- er, I mean 3 year old highlight tapes and then paying to minimize penalties) leaves Nike with less money to design new alternate jerseys I think we can call it an overall win for college football.

Eh, betting on Oregon to win it all this fall is like tossing money out the window anyway--if Oregon couldn't win a title with Kelly, they're not going to do it without him.
