You make fair points. I go to school in the South so I don't have to deal with ND fans as much as I do SEC fans.

So, the obvious doomsday scenario is ND getting into the NC game and winning the fucking thing. What are opinions as to the lesser of two evils between the following:


  1. ND gets into the NC game but loses but with no anal wreckage.
  2. An undefeated ND gets left out of the game but wins its bowl game finishing 13-0 and possibly winning an unofficial AP championship in the process.

Both of those scenarios are unthinkably bad. I refuse to answer.

if i'm picking, i'd go with #2. if nothing else, it will be nice to watch all the faux domers crawl out of the woodwork to bemoan the fact that they got shafted for a chance at the title. that being said, i don't see too many potential matchups with top 10 teams that would end well for them.

Unless USC pulls off an upset, most likely without Barkley (good luck with that), I may be forced to root for the SEC champion in the BCS title game.

Fuck, we picked a bad year to be on probation. :smash:

We're all USC fans now. The one silver lining is that if one team ahead of ND goes down, they all need to go down, so the chances increase that the domers will have to play Bama and Satan. Everyone else in the mix, they have a shot at beating.

Barkley probably won't play, the way they're making it sound. But, there is a silver lining.

Lane Kiffin is still the head coach for another year. That means USC has a shot against ND. A few switched jerseys, a few deflated balls, they may be able to pull it off.

My dream outcome for this season has been for OSU to be the only unbeaten team in the country. That remarkable outcome is now a very real possibility.

I can even live with rooting for USC and letting the SEC and Saban back in the mix.

Maybe we will all get lucky and Mark Richt will win his first NC. If the domers can win that one let them have it (I don't think they can).

And a special thank you to Pat Haden who tonight announced that Lane Kiffin - who guided the preseason #1 team to a minimum 4 loss season - will definitely be back next year. No other coach could so woefully squander such grand talent. We love you Lane.

Next door neightbor hung his domer flag over the door. Never seen it before. Kid who sits next to me in Organic has started wearing a domer cap last week.
