Don't sleep on McDowell to the good guys.

Malik McDowell is very tall and has the body to really grow into a top DL. Demetrius Knox says he has improved since he last faced him in the summer. McDowell is still considering 7 schools and is scheduled to visit OSU January 31st with Solomon Thomas.

I really like OSU as a darkhorse here. Urban/Fickell/Vrabel want Solomon Thomas, but I think that is unlikely provided he gets through admissions at Stanford. Warinner wanted a fifth OL. McDowell might be the best compromise. Bring him in as a DL, because that is what he wants to play. If he breaks the two-deep early in his career, then wonderful. If it doesn't work out, you move him to offensive tackle, because he might have the best OT frame of anyone OSU is recruiting in this class. As The Bank would say, he could make a lot more money on Sundays as an OL.

Me too. I'm excited for the officials this weekend too. Derrick Nnadi visits this weekend, hopefully LJsr could help there. Although I assume he's going to stay home.
