Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

The better point is, what FA are they going to bring in knowing LeBron was gone once his 3 year deal was up. They couldn't get anyone unless it was a trade. And the held the front-office hostage when you're trying to appease your super-star but giving up all your assets at the same time.

Again, to blame the Cavs front office for not getting it done is so short-sighted and ignorant. If LeBron wanted a top-flight #2 to play with, he could have signed an extension, gotten Bosh in a sign and trade, or any other player for that matter. But you're not going to recruit anybody to Cleveland when they know LeBron is gone after 2010. That's LeBron's fault.

And the thing that hurts people the most, is he could have at least gone out trying to win one for the city. But instead he mailed it in and quit. Hence the name "Quitness". If he was going to leave, leave with some pride. He decided to sulk, moan, and tell Clevelanders he spoiled us. Idiot.

They had seven years to bring that FA in.

Those LeBron Cleveland Cavaliers? jerseys are all gone, sold for a song by the Fathead.com the company owned by Cavaliers? owner Dan Gilbert. The Boston Globe reported that when the former Cleveland star left for Miami, the price of the jerseys was reduced from $99.99 to $17.41, apparently because 1741 was the birth year of Benedict Arnold.
Gilbert?s company continues to sell Miami Heat merchandise, including those of LeBron?s pal Dwyane Wade, so in Gilbert?s mind, profit does still carry some weight.

well i cant say they didnt try...screwed up with hughes but in hindsight it was probably the right move at the time...played great defense, fit browns system and was a great complimentary scorer...donyell marshall, damon jones all were supposed to stretch the floor and both probably had their worst years in cleveland...front office's fault of course...we tried getting shaq, stoudamire, igudola, jamison before last year...picked up delonte, szerbiak and ben wallace and this was probably our best team chemistry wise...lets not forget lebron also ran some people out of town as well..drew gooden comes to mind...lebron also didnt let the front office get better free agents such as trevor ariza or ron artest last years off season because no one wanted to sign a large deal because no one knew how long lebron would be around..and thanks lebron for even giving them a reason to sign...not even a phone call or hey im not leaving...bitch knew he was leaving...and if he knew he was leaving thanks for telling a class coach like tom izzo who about commited career suicide by joining the cavs...back to free agency...if we would of gotten stoudamire last year he wouldnt of re-signed even with lebron re-signing with cleveland IMO...so while clevelands front office tried plan A, B, C, D, and Z to help lebron year after year, he rewards cleveland and its fans who sold out every game by going to a city that has a terrible fan base and a front office who sold as many of their peices as possible to aquire enough cap space to land lebron and someone else...wade should of left organization just on principal alone...but not lebron...like he said...miami is a first class organization with amazing fans...stupid ass bitch idiot turd licker

All I needed to hear was that Lebron did more to bring players to Miami in 2 weeks than he did in Cleveland in 7 years. Fuck him and the Devil's Triangle he has going down in Miami. I wish him nothing but DUI's, knocked up whores, arrests, and misery in Miami. I hope his girl leaves him and he never sees his kids again. I hope that he lives the rest of a short life never finding any happiness. I hope his crack-head mom marries Delonte and they have a bunch of babies that Lebron has to support. I hope that when people look back at his life they say he could have been the best until "The Decision" ruined everything.
Finally, I just hope Z isn't on the Heat team plane when it loses power and crashes into the Worlds Largest Toilet Bowl on February 10th next year. [/rant]

I don't give a shit about Lebron either way. I probably like him more for sticking it to Cleveland fans, and I freely admit that.

That being said, he went from God-like to piece of trash in one hour. Then the people who worshipped him acted like they never knew any of this stuff that they now despise in him. How convienient.
So I take it you are just sidestepping the topic of those huge, intentional acts of disrespect?

Folks being emotional about LeBron does not preclude you from admitting what he did.

Bosh and Wade don't seem to mind playing with him.
a terrific argument. Romo and Ocho like playing with T.O. too.

Those two were on horrific squads. Of course they wanted to play with another superstar, let alone two. Both have tasted how much better life is with surrounding talent on a bball team.

Well the 25 mil he gave to Savannah binding her from speaking about their relationship publically, should limit some of the negative damage that could be thrown his way during his first major screw-up in Miami....

it has to be coming soon...with all the wild activities on South Beach during the season, and notorious sex-parties of D-Wade. He really needs to be careful not to pick up the "gift that keeps on giving" from D-Wade tho.

SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!

Enough is enough... He left Cleveland, GET OVER IT. He took a pay cut to go to a team that makes moves to get him a championship... he did nothing personally to you. Remember... pro sports are a BUSINESS, first and foremost. How do you think every player that gets cut or released, or traded away feels? The writing was on the wall when Lebron had this free agency written into his last contract.

Cleveland fans (for the most part) are effing terrible. They boo if you don't score 10,000 points. They boo if you lose a close game, they boo to hear their own voices... I would want to get out of Cleveland too.

How dare he be honest. Shame on him for saying he didn't like Cleveland.

They were friends before joining with the Heat. Romo and Ocho were not, as far as I know, friends with T.O. It's not the same. I believe it is about championships, I'm not that naive. I also believe that they genuinely like each other. That's why they chose to do it as well.

Point is, had he stayed in Cleveland, he could've taken a shit on the steps of City Hall and flipped the bird to everyone in the town, and they wouldn't have talked about him like they are, and it's because he left. Get the fuck over it already.

was that an attempt to talk down to a Columbus pro sports team by a Cleveland fan? Really? The Jackets made the playoffs two years ago.... when was the last time the Brownies made the playoffs? Think Seneca Wallace will take you there?

And I would rather be a CBJ fan than a fan of ANY Cleveland sports

not really, but you don't seem to be engaging him on the actual topic, the handcuffs put on by that 3 year window. If he signs an actual 7 year contract, it is aclot easier to bring in amare or someone else.

Instead, his contracts were designed to set up his departure options.
