Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

But he wouldn't have been such an a-hole if he did that. To do what he did to his home city knowing 50,000 jobs would be lost, naming it "The Decesion", and then the proceeding days of recruiting for Miami when he never did in Cleveland and thanking Akron but not Cleveland put it all over the top.

There are multiple things to hate him for...not just one.

Maybe Cleveland's economy shouldn't be based on the whims of a man that's had is dick sucked since he was seven.

I thought ESPN named it. He just told them when and where.

If he was personally responsible for employing fifty fucking thousand Clevelanders, why the fuck should he thank them?! They should still be thanking him for allowing them to suck at his tit for seven years.

I could care less about what he said while he was here, or that jobs will be lost (not mine so what the fuck do I care?), and that he was from the cleveland area.

I hate him because of everything he stands for and is. Egotistical pompous cocksucker that has no fucking balls between his legs and acts like the world owes him because he is talented at putting a fucking basketball in a cylinder. He could be a man working a hot dog stand and act that way - and i'd still hate him.

Unfortunately, more and more kids these days are becoming this. Whatever happened to the good ol' days where when you get hurt, you rub some dirt on it and walk it off? or when you actually win something before proclaiming yourself the greatest(and even proclaiming yourSELF to be the greatest has never been cool). Or better yet, when people didn't refer to themselves in the 3rd fucking person with nicknames such as The King or The Chosen One? Last but not least, beating the best to be the best - not joining them.

Exactly. This has been stated over and over again, many times by the national media. Could anybody see Bird joining forces with Magic? Or Magic joining Isaiah? Nope. They wanted to be the best by beating the best, not rig the league...

They played for organizations that rigged the league for them.

Zeek is the only one of the players you mentioned NOT to have had another one of the 50 greatest players on his team. Fuck, magic and bird had two apiece. So bitch all ya want, but Lebron is doing what Cleveland couldn't or wouldn't do.

Drexler played with Olajuwon (sp?), even Stockton had Malone, and they didn't even win shit!

This isn't something new.

Probably because a) he barely made any effort to bring in other FA's and b) who knows if anyone WANTED to play with him considering the mental whack job that he is.

You don't lead the league back to back years in wins with a shitty supporting cast - sorry. I'm not buying that. LeBron choked last year and apparently didn't care to try this year come playoff time.

 LeBron and his pals are so paranoid and overboard when it comes to LeBron's image that they confiscated video of a trivial dunk over him.

It is irrelevant who had the idea for the name, they had their fingertips all over that event. They knew very well how it would fall in line with the other Cleveland horrors, the drive, the fumble, the shot. That was a calculated move, whether by naming it themselves or going along with it.

The interview about growing up resenting Cleveland was very telling as well.

Bird and Magic didn't have to woo one motherfucker their way. Their respective organizations went and did that shit on their own.

So...which one of 'Bron's supporting cast would be on your top twenty players in the leage RIGHT NOW...forget top fifty all time.

I'm not so much defending Lebron. I'm saying that everyone is acting like this is a shortcut to a title. By year seven in Chicago, MJ had Pipp for years. No one on the Cavs is in Pippens league. Kareem was already in LA when Magic got there. Worthy wasn't far behind. Bird, McHale, and Parrish were together for at least a few seasons before they won a title.

I'm not claiming the Cavs were talentless at all. I'm just saying having three of the better players in the league on one team is hardly setting any precedents. In fact, it seems that both Bird and Magic's legacies were built on the backs of some of the G.O.A.T.. Detroit won because they out-scrapped every-fuckin-body.

To blame Lebron for his franchise's inability to land other top talent is horseshit.

And these things don't really need to be brought up. They're just added on by the fans, but they don't really mean anything:

- 50,000 jobs would be lost

He's done enough [censored]ty things to make him look like a bitch....there's no need to embellish it.

I'm not embellishing anything. It wasn't me who took out a "Thank You" ad in Akron, and then several days did an interview with GQ stating "I never liked Clevelanders growing up b/c they looked down on us."

He's an idiot, and this entire summer exposed him. Until then he was protected by the Cavs organization. The Cavs are at fault for that...but LeBron takes majority share of the blame for being an idiot and letting his handlers like Worldwide Wes and Maverick Carter destroy his image, like they're now destroying the NBA.

I don't give a shit about Lebron either way. I probably like him more for sticking it to Cleveland fans, and I freely admit that.

That being said, he went from God-like to piece of trash in one hour. Then the people who worshipped him acted like they never knew any of this stuff that they now despise in him. How convienient.

LA and Boston are tradition-rich, elite franchises. Detroit, like you said, just outworked everybody. Hell, the Cavs had some of that the past two seasons, but their star layed a couple of eggs. It's not hard to draw FA's to LA or Boston. Cleveland needs an edge. They had it in Urkel, Urkel wouldn't help. If he was really about securing his legacy (and winning a title in Cleveland, of all places, would have done that), he would have recruited another star to the Cavs. He didn't, he took the easy way out and joined his aau buddies. It isn't as black-and-white as "they didn't try"...they tried, they just didn't get help from the one player who could give it.

Dude..what aren't you getting. Cleveland and Toronto had a deal on the table to bring Bosh to Cleveland. LeBron and Bosh both knew they were going to Miami.

LeBron had his player signed to a max deal and in Cleveland, but left for Miami. That was his player. LeBron never intended to stay. And it wasn't much of a secret in NBA locker-rooms. The only question was where and with who.

The better point is, what FA are they going to bring in knowing LeBron was gone once his 3 year deal was up. They couldn't get anyone unless it was a trade. And the held the front-office hostage when you're trying to appease your super-star but giving up all your assets at the same time.

Again, to blame the Cavs front office for not getting it done is so short-sighted and ignorant. If LeBron wanted a top-flight #2 to play with, he could have signed an extension, gotten Bosh in a sign and trade, or any other player for that matter. But you're not going to recruit anybody to Cleveland when they know LeBron is gone after 2010. That's LeBron's fault.

And the thing that hurts people the most, is he could have at least gone out trying to win one for the city. But instead he mailed it in and quit. Hence the name "Quitness". If he was going to leave, leave with some pride. He decided to sulk, moan, and tell Clevelanders he spoiled us. Idiot.
