Lebron James (Los Angeles Lakers)

How dare he be honest. Shame on him for saying he didn't like Cleveland.
he has every right to be honest, but it ruins your claim that Cleveland hates him because he left.

The LeBron they loved and defended does not exist. This isn't CC leaving to play with a better team, exiting graciously and remaining the same likable figure despite his absence. This is Justin Boren finally escaping the place he hated and trashing it on the way out.... except far worse because Justin didn't pretend to love it.

I am sure it was profitable and easier to pretend to be Cleveland's own, but he earned the consequences of admitting that ruse .

It wasn't just finding out that a star Cleveland athlete was leaving, something that has happened endless times.

They were friends before joining with the Heat. Romo and Ocho were not, as far as I know, friends with T.O. It's not the same. I believe it is about championships, I'm not that naive. I also believe that they genuinely like each other. That's why they chose to do it as well.
ochocinco has been "friends" with TO for years, genuinelt likes and wants to play with him. That doesn't refute what kind of divisive behavior he is capable of and known for.
Point is, had he stayed in Cleveland, he could've taken a shit on the steps of City Hall and flipped the bird to everyone in the town, and they wouldn't have talked about him like they are, and it's because he left. Get the fuck over it already.
Another splendid argument about Lebron, considering the uproar over a silly little Yankee hat.

So damn near everyone else that's won a title in the last thirty years had multiple hof'ers on their title winning teams, and Lebron is wrong for wanting what they all had?

yes because lebron is in his PRIME...jordan had pippen..lucky him...jordan also won 95% of the games...the year lebron quit on the cavs was the same age jordan one his first title...and did jordan have this cover when he was 20?

pretty high expectations for someone who wants to play second fiddle to a superstar who already has one title on their resume, next to someone in their prime, considered to possibly be the best ever who has 0 titles....i think its pretty simple to understand if you take your blinders off

Lebron leaving for less money to play with friends on a serious title contender does not even come close to Boren leaving one half of the greatest rivalry in sports, having to sit out a year and pay his own way at the other half of that rivalry in terms of contempt generated. Hell, even more than a couple Buckeye fans weren't thrilled with that.

I get that Cavs fans are pissed, I just don't believe every non-title year Lebron spent in Cleveland should be spat upon. He made it possible for Cavs fans to be proud of their team for seven years. They should be thankful that Stern rigged the lottery so they could get him in the first place. :p

Yeah, far better to have four pages of cry-baby bitching about a player that left a month ago.

Why the fuck do you care?? If you were a Cavs fan you'd be saying the same shit and don't even try to act like you wouldn't..

And your stupid analogies about the hot girl are just that, stupid. Yea the hot chicks lie, but does that make it right? You proved the point even further with that bullshit..

And yea yea, what's he supposed to say right?? He should have tried saying nothing at all, not saying I'm not leaving until I get this city a championship and then going on national TV like a complete dickhead and give a big middle finger to most of his home state. You knew everyone wasn't going to like your decision, but if you wanted respect then you could have gone about it in a completely different and more gracious way. Those fans were people that have spent 7 years paying your NBA salary and rooting their asses off you.

He's a dick and if you sympathize with him then I have to wonder about you.

And P.S. you're talking about cry baby bitching and then come in this thread for no apparent reason and bring your own cry baby bitching with you. And the difference is that you don't even care about the whole situation so there's really no reason for you to come in and try to preach and defend a fucking loser like LeBron James.

What he did was fucked up and any Cavs fan would be upset. Just like you would be if something like this happened to your favorite sports team.

please. You know quite well why they should be pissed, you just take immense pleasure in trolling on their sore subject.

Why else would you be claiming they should be thankful to the guy who took a dump on their city in many different ways ?

Is that all you got??

Sounds like you are the one crying to me, for no reason. Coming into a thread that means absolutely nothing to you and start bitching to everyone in it and trying to act all high and mighty telling everyone how they should feel about something you have no clue about.

Cavs fans have a right to be pissed off. You on the other hand?? I don't know what you're trying to accomplish.

Buckyle - The above quote from jwins was directed at one of your posts. Since Jwins hit it on the head, that your posts in this thread have constituted nothing but trolling, consider it to be a friendly warning that trolling is not acceptable here at BP.

Everyone keeps pointing to Bird, Magic, Jordan, and now Barkley? Sir Charles is my favorite player ever, but he signed with the Rockets with Hakeem and Pippen.

Just because the Celtics and Lakers have an easier time of courting free agents doesn't mean they didn't have three future hof'ers on their title rosters. This [censored] has been going on since free agency. Cavs fans were happy enough for Lebron to sign those three year contracts.

Jordan was the greatest of all time, yet he still had Rodman added to his last few title teams.

The Lakers had Kobe and Shaq near his prime, and even Gasol, who is probably better than every other player on the Cavs. Even the spurs had two of the greatest centers ever on a team.

So damn near everyone else that's won a title in the last thirty years had multiple hof'ers on their title winning teams, and Lebron is wrong for wanting what they all had?

What length were Lebrons contracts? Was it a four year and a three year? I mean, if that's the window you have, then that's what you need to work within.

You're so much smarter than this, it really does seem like you're trolling which is disappointing. This argument is utter garbage...

Sir Charles said it best after "The Decesion".

CB: "25 Year olds shouldn't need piggy-back rides".

Yes Charles went to Phoenix and Houston at the tail of his career. He didn't leave in his prime. He gave Philly all he had in his prime and it didn't work out so he moved on...like Malone and Gary Payton did. That is so far from a 25 year old LeBron who has been to a finals and had a team 2 straight years that led the league in wins. It WAS a title team if LeBron doesn't QUIT.

But ignore my last paragraph for another larger point. Even if LeBron felt the roster wasn't good enough, they had an opportunity to land Chris Bosh this off-season. The deal was on the table and agreed upon, but b/c of tampering between Bosh, Wade, and LeBron it didn't go through. Instead, Bosh didn't sign his max deal with Toronto in a sign and trade, waited for LeBron to announce for Miami, forced Toronto to work a trade to the Heat that wasn't even close to the value the Cavs could have provided, b/c these assholes played their franchises for 3 years since 2007.

But that paragraph is basically irrelevant to me, when IMO, it comes back to being a title favorite and LeBron tanking. The roster was good enough...but he'd rather take his talents to South Beach where he has no accountability to his girlfriend, has the club lifestyle, and he thinks he is more marketable.

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy his Q ratings plummeting across the country. LeBron thought the move to Miami on a national level would be widely accepted and thought of as "cool". Instead 69% of general public have a negative perception of him, and an overwhelming majority hopes he fails. He never saw that coming.

This post is actually very inaccurate. LeBron tanked at age 25. Jordan didn't even make his first finals until age 27. LeBron was way ahead of where Michael was in his career when doing a side-by-side analysis. But LeBron aplogists always coveniently leave that out because it weakens their argument when trying to say he had no support.

LeBron made a finals, and led the league in wins back to back seasons by age 25...lol. Jordan didn't even make a finals until 27.

LeBron puts location and fun over his legacy...to each their own, but someone as gifted as LeBron should want to compete. Instead he has opted to have no legacy, take the easiest route possible, and hurt his family/hometown in the process.
