WVU's staff is still extemely upset and has backed off and moved on to their other options. Here's one of the lines from a helpful WVU insider
"He's a heck of a player and would welcome him with open arms but he's burned his bridges with us."
But with that said, no matter how upset they are they would still do a 180 and take him if they could....the whole thing is Latwan was openly wanting an OSU offer, didn't look like he'd get it, he was upset and wanted to save face and not look "desperate"

There is no question that WVU led until we offered. They stuck by him and continued to recruit him when Ohio State didn't (Not taking a jab at our coaching staff at all. I understand why they didn't offer and I think a big part of Latwan understands that as well), but something has to be said about the support and love West Virginia showed from day one towards Anderson.
Really, I think I would be a little disapointed in Anderson if he came out and just dropped WVU publicly. I think he's showing the side of him that he and Coach Ginn have been working on by showing WVU a lot of respect, that I believe they earned, when he got what he wanted. It's very mature on his part...IMO.

Exactly.
Many of these kids don't like for people to just assume because they go to Glenville and have an OSU offer, that they'll go to OSU. Just like anyone, they wanted to be looked at and treated as an individual and sometimes in their mind a way to do that is to say another school leads.

Anderson's trip to Ohio State took care of what he was looking for. Before the visit the "WVU leads" stuff might have held water; but now, not so much.
