Ohio Junior Lands First Two Scholarship Offers - Bucknuts Forum (free)

Near the end of December I posted an article on DB/WR Latwan Anderson from Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edwards. Anderson said Ohio State and Michigan State were his two favorite schools. One of the two has just offered. The Spartans have offered Anderson a scholarship. Cincinnati has also just offered.

is that forty time legit?!

I highly doubt there's any 17 year old who can run a true 4.2 40, but Anderson's game speed is legit.

Assuming his grades are in order, I hope he's in the next wave of offers (along with Alex Smith and Christian Bryant). Big-time safety prospect...

This is a kid you take a chance on...He has shown the ability to play to hit someone, and has great speed...He may not have the best technique in terms of hip turn to be a cover corner, or he may not run the best routes as a WR, but you gotta love the speed...

Put him on returns, put the ball in his hands and see what he can do with it...

I would think he'd project at safety anyway.. he looks like a thick kid who could get up to 200-210 by the time he hits campus. I also like the fact that Dantonio offered him already

That is some serious closing speed. I like his top end speed and he can hit it quick. I agree with cb40, he is raw on defense, but his tangibles are too tough to pass on. He could be a great return man and DB, possibly WR. Bryant and Anderson are two DB's I wouldn't mind offering.

Christian Bryant, Latwan Anderson, Lamarcus Joyner and a BIG (6'2" 190-200) type Safety would be my DB. I'll take that ANY day of the week.

I should have been specific, I meant in Ohio. I was a bit worried about the instate crop at DB but now some talent is coming up. But I agree, Joyner would be awesome as well.

Hey BGriff, as long as you and RB07 have a handle on this '10 backfield, lets just get this thing over with by march. Since it is going to be easy just bring up Marvin Robinson from Fla. to be the big hammer at SS and call it a year. :) :)

You would probably be looking at 3 safeties with that class...Which is not bad, but we could probably use another guy that could at least double at CB/S or a CB...
