Kevin (Tim “Asshat” Racadb) Warren (ex-B1G Commissioner)

If they don’t even try to reverse the decision just imagine how irate people are gonna be when they have to watch the ACC/SEC/12..... He might wanna start acting on something/anything really...

I think they're concerned with bigger potential problems than outraged fans. This is a classic CYA move in multiple ways - coaches, students, alumni, and fans be damned.

or what?

Like @Jake said in the post above, outraged sorts fans mean nothing to this guy. He has ~14 bosses and inside of that group a smaller number who are the real bosses. That's all a guy in this kind of role gives a flying fuck about.

Worst case scenario is that these minutes contain discussions relating to whether playing football while the rest of the universities are online only would create a foundation for designating the players as employees rather than students. In other words, they'll get caught saying the quiet part out loud. That, however, doesn't do anything to legally undermine their decision or allow the players to reverse it. It just lays bare the hypocrisy of the student-athlete model when it comes to revenue sports.

Foot stomping, holding your breath and sucking your thumb isn't going to get football back. It's done for the season, folks. They had valid reasons for doing so. Just the way it is. It sucks, but it is what it is.

I'd like to see those "valid reasons", nonetheless. It's too easy to hide behind the coronavirus these days. I want to see the minutes.

I don't think anyone here believes we're going to change the decision. We're just not interested in quietly accepting it without honest answers to legitimate questions.

At the end of the day, Warren and his little power brokers created a mess for themselves by releasing a revised schedule only to cancel the whole season a few days later. They have basically had the attitude that all the people impacted can just go to hell as they don’t deserve to be informed of the details.

That’s just asking for scrutiny.
