Probably everyone on this board has left a position with stuff unfinished. Having said that, I'd like to know: 1) why didn't Warren utilize Jim Delaney as an advisor during the TV negotiations? 2) Why didn't the President's Council utilize Jim Delaney to review the negotiation package before they approved it? Can't think of anyone better suited to advise/review this kinda important piece of work.....maybe it's just me, but like to always get a second opinion (or more) on big decisions. Given his blunder with Covid football (and not knowing that there would be financial consequences to a shortened season), the Council should have been suspect. Heck, maybe the Council didn't know enough to hire a consultant. Anyone help me clear away the fog? I'm certainly not an insider, but know enough about business strategy to question their/his decisions.

Left "unfinished"... I mean it's kind of different when you're a ~80k employee in a pool of 10 bodies or so.
This position is getting paid millions to be The Singular person.
At the few jobs where i did leave things behind, i continued to take phone calls for a couple months afterwards.
I still update a github for my last employer; but that's more of a "potential return" and personal development thing.

Kujira, certainly get what you're saying. What you are doing is keeping those bridges 'built', maybe you'll return to former company as CEO someday. Also, professionalism in helping former company understanding what you did while there. Heck, they probably didn't appreciate what you did until you left (a common occurence). Resume building is key, and good references more key. Sounds like you touch all the bases. Congrats. PS, acted as a unpaid consultant for former company (Bendix subsidiary) for several months later for my developed expertise. Eventually, either someone got up to speed, or they deviated from direction. Never really did me any good, except for personal satisfaction (which counts).
