Jadeveon Clowney (DE Carolina Panthers)

He was really huffing and puffing. I am currently in South Carolina about 100 miles from Columbia. It was a beautiful day yesterday. Pretty warm , but a nice dry heat. I hope he doesnt get drafted by a florida team, he might have passed out had the opener been against florida or lsu, where it is actually hot and humid.

You must be in the upstate because the Pee Dee and Midlands were extremely humid.

ESPN morning headline - " Jadeveon Clowney, No. 6 South Carolina cruise past UNC in opener"

However the article starts off with:
"South Carolina All-American Jadeveon Clowney looked less than dominant against North Carolina, not that it mattered to him or the sixth-ranked Gamecocks."

And then furthermore states:
Clowney did not have a sack and finished with three first-half tackles. The Tar Heels' fast-paced offense wore him down and forced him to the sideline for several pit stops, yet he and the defense mostly hemmed in North Carolina.

So ESPN makes their headlines appear as if Clowney & Co. were dominant (even though it was a 17 point struggle). Then they admit in the article that Clowney was just plain worn down by a low-tier ACC school.

Observations about how he played and how ESPiN presented his efforts =/= hate.

I really expected this observation to come from Maxbuck to be honest.
Whatever. These kind of posts are exactly what I expected From a few here. The guy may not have had his best game but of course some folks are analyzing every play looking for a fault in the SEC guy. Clowney isn't perfect but he's crazy good.

Kid didnt show up or isn't as good as the hype the media gave him. Who could live up to the hype sEcSPN gave him? Plus teams gameplan for him now so I don't think there is any way in hell he'll live up to the season he had last year. That hit during the Meatchicken game cursed him.
Funny, the helmet popping hit makes him a star and ignores the fact that Lewan kept him in check damn near all day. No one, especially ESPN, seems to have any tape to show ad nauseum just how completely he was dominated in the rest of the game.

Are you sure you aren't either:

a) Maxbuck

or

b) An employee of ESPiN?

Because that's EXACTLY what the fucktards on ESPiN radio are likely talking about right now.

no, he can be crazy good at times. He wasn't even "good" yesterday

I am confused what the problem is with exposing ESPN's staging of what they want America to think happened vs what actually did happen

We already have a thread for ESPiN fucktards. I don't know who made the observation earlier, but I think the hype machine is going to hurt Clowney more than help. Expectations are too lofty, and because he's a lineman, too many casual fans won't understand what kind of game he's having unless he's racking up sacks and blowing up RBs.

100% agree, just was not impressed, he seemed lazy and tired the entire game. I did not notice any NC offensive lineman taking any plays off. Heisman contenders do not take plays off, I am not talking about the ones he walked off the field, which was way more than I excepted. I am talking about the ones he was still on the field half asses it.

I've seen 2:00am pants less waffle house fights with more intensity than Clowney in the home opener.
C'mon mane! Show some effort.

Girls ain't got no pants in that fight...

I mean, I could understand this if they were fighting over pants... Cuz ain't none of them got no pants. But ain't nobody got none... Well, that one hun got some bun, but she still ain't got no pants.

Truly, w.t.f.
