Jadeveon Clowney (DE Carolina Panthers)

This.

Overall, though, the Gamecock defense stifled the Tarheels pretty completely. I was watching for signs of Larry Fedora's offensive genius, but didn't find any.

It's not really that difficult to stifle the Tarheel's offense. It's not really difficult to stifle their defense. It was pointed out in the first quarter that on average, the USCeast linemen are each over 50 lbs bigger than than the tarheel linemen. It makes me think they will really struggle when they face guys in their weight range. I was really expecting a minimum of a 24 pt domination by USC, not the struggle that they had. They dominated the 1st quarter, and then the UNC coaches adapted and it was a struggle for USCeast to keep the lead.

Clowney receives his second egregious speeding ticket in a matter of weeks...

http://mweb.cbssports.com/ncaaf/eye.../jadeveon-clowney-ticketed-for-speeding-again

This kid has "BUST" written all over him. If my team is picking in the top-10 this year, I'm praying they stay away from him. Billion dollar talent, 10 cent brain. That usually doesn't bode well for a kid's NFL chances.
“I tell you, he needs to go to driving school doesn’t he?” USC coach Steve Spurrier said later in the day during a press conference in Orlando, Fla., where the team flew Thursday afternoon to prepare for Wednesday’s Capital One Bowl game. “At least he’ll have enough money to pay for it in a week or so. Hopefully, they’ll send him (to driving school) after the bowl game.

Spurrier realizes how much influence he has over Clowney's behavior at this point, saying things like:

"He'll be able to pay for (those tickets) in about a week", and "hopefully they'll send him to driving school after the bowl game."

Spurrier is receiving a boat-load of flak for those comments...well, no, not really.

He could suspend him like Dantonio did to Bullough... or Urban did to Hall... but this is the SEC, we all know unless they're caught red handed with incontrovertible evidence; nothing will happen.
Spurrier doesn't have control of him b/c he's chosen not to.
