LOL. Ok… so Day goes 1-11 next year … he’s good as long as that win is against scUM right?

Again if Day is “Cooper” and he gets fired next year, or leaves on his own…

who are you going after to replace him??

Ah yes the Next Tressel or Meyer … because those guys are all around out there..

and no I dont think Smith does know who he wants …He might have a list of names … but if that is like Meyer’s list of assistants he kept.. no thanks

Folks losing their minds over a first time HC finishing his 3rd year …. but in reality he’s had maybe 1.5 normal seasons since he took over…

He’s already demoted a coach after 4 games because he wasn’t happy with the results (dont recall Tres or Meyer every doing that) He’s also dealing with the Portal and NIL - something Tres & Meyer never did.

I’m gonna quote myself on this again.

No, I really don't think Smith knows whos his next HC, since his current one has only been the HC for 3yrs(2.5)... Tressel resigned right before the 2011 season, and in 2012 we lucked up into getting Meyer. We also were fortunate to keep Day, and even find him in the first place. Our HC could just as easy be Schiano...
You're taking the overreacting message board guy route. Bold move
You have strong comparisons about an HC in year 3 and only has 1 in conference loss, 2 conference championships and 2 CFP appearances. Any other fanbase outside of Bama would kill for that. But carry on, in your opinion we should be looking for another HC, and Day is no better than John Cooper, gotcha :roll1:

IMO not until after The Game '22.

If Day wins that one, then carry on. If he doesn't, then you have to start considering alternatives. The body of work up to The Game next year will have a huge part to play in it as well but he goes 1-2 in The Game and he's not your guy, imo.

Finally someone answered the question what does it take to move off Day. I’m not anti Day I’m anti losing to scUM and being a finesse team in a conference where finesse won’t work. JT and UFM not finesse. If Day gets questions answered wins scUM and the CCG. I’m on his side, of course the CFP means squat to me.

I don't think it's as much "jumping the shark" as it is a healthy does of reality that some people just aren't used to. I hate losing to scUM as much as anybody, but did people actually think they were never going to win one again? Sometimes parts of this fanbase are completely delusional.
