I don’t want to jinx any, but how the staff has handled player usage numbers all season long is impressive. I hope they continue to wear down their opponents these remaining games.

I know I'm putting the cart way before the horse here, and OSU has a big game to play this week. But if Day and company somehow can put it all together and get it done this game and in a potential title game, he would be the 3rd straight head coach to win a national championship at Ohio State (I don't count Fickell, he was always going to be an interm/stop gap solution for 1 year). Has that ever happened in the history of College Football?

You have no idea of how "should of" that year should have been if you weren't of age yet. That team was the most compete, experienced and talented since probably the prime Woody years. There were no weaknesses on paper, except at head coach.

And the fumbled punt...then Plaxico before he went off and shot himself by accident in the pros. Lets wipe those memories out tomorrow night. Crazy thing is if we had the expanded playoffs then, we are in that year and looking just as good as this year to make a title run. Hopefully Day can use his redemption chip effectively, in Cooper's day one loss like that was the end of your season pretty much.

It wasn't fumbled. It was such a shanked punt it kicked up and hit an up man that had no earthly idea the ball was near him. Mid 3rd quarter. Sparty got a second wind from actually getting the ball across the 50 yard line and the wheels fell off at that point.
