You can do this with an older more experienced team. A team like how it was in the past, this method wouldn’t work. Too many young players. But when your team averages 23yo, they don’t need extensive practices. Most are self motivated at this point and don’t need a coach in their face to get after it. If you have more 1st and 2nd year players, practices, and hard ones at that are a necessity so they know the difference between college and HS and break bad habits. For example, Mylan Graham needed longer practices to create good habits, Devin McCuin won’t need that as he’s been in a college system and seen what it takes to play at a high collegiate level.
