I think it would have been better stated that if Hyde does miss any time Dontre will have more of an opportunity to touch the ball.

It's like Brax got a new toy and can't wait to take it outside and play with it.OSUK;2356986; said:Read that article this morning. The gist of it is:
Braxton Miller on Dontre Wilson:
"That boy, when he catches the ball he's like a fish running from a shark or something. Throwing with him is a different type of feeling. He says, 'Throw it anywhere and I'll go get it.' I threw it behind him and he turned around, landed on his back and caught it. He's got something special. You need to watch out for him this year."
"I feel like he better be starting. He'll fit in anywhere. He can run any route or come in the backfield and take hand offs. He goes out there all the time with me, so he works hard with me. I'll call him up and say, 'Be ready'. He works hard, and hopefully he can show it out on the field."
Jack Mewhort on Braxton on Dontre:
"Braxton has been raving about him since he got on campus. Not only to you guys [the media], but even around the Woody he's been talking about him. In Braxton's words, he runs great routes. He's a speed guy, and we need that to go along with our weapons that we've had in the past."
Christian Bryant:
"Dontre looks to be a special player." His speed, his agility... When he catches the ball and you see how he moves, you know he's gonna be a special player."
If these guys are excited about him, I'm excited. But then again, I was excited about him before I knew that they were excited about him - or something like that. :)
Meyer is deciding in the first week or so of camp which freshmen have a chance to play and which will be likely redshirt guys. The guy he knows will play after looking at him for three days? Dontre Wilson. The Wilson love continues.
16. Dontre Wilson, RB, Ohio State Buckeyes
?The Next Percy Harvin? is an ideal that has wafted around Urban Meyer?s programs since, you know, he had Percy Harvin at Florida. But in Wilson, the late Oregon flip, the Buckeyes could have some reasonable facsimile.
Wilson is listed as a running back, but he figures to be lined up all over the place. Sort of like Fisher was with Winston, Urban Meyer has tamped down some of the weight on the freshman, but teammates have been impressed so far with Wilson?s raw talent.
At Big Ten media days, quarterback Braxton Miller acted as if he had a literal running mate. He said Wilson will have an early impact.
The No. 55 prospect on the ESPN 150 also had interest from other high-octane offenses such as Baylor, Clemson, Oklahoma and Texas A&M. The belief for all was he could be a home run guy. He's now Meyer?s to use.

OSU freshman RB Dontre Wilson's only nickname so far is "DeSoto," said O lineman Marcus Hall, cause he's always saying he's from DeSoto, TX
Dontre Wilson shows 'electric speed' in Ohio State's early practices
By Tim May
Just three practices into Ohio State's preseason football camp, the potential of at least one of the players in the celebrated 2013 recruiting class is obvious to coach Urban Meyer.
“Dontre Wilson right now, I would say he’s going to play,” Meyer said after today’s morning practice, the first in pads for the team ranked No.2 in the USA Today's poll. “That’s because he just goes really hard. That’s my first impression of him, unless it changes.”
From DeSoto, Texas, Wilson was committed to Oregon before coach Chip Kelly opted to move to the NFL Philadelphia Eagles. Due primarily to the diligence of OSU offensive coordinator Tom Herman, Wilson wound up signing with the Buckeyes in February.
Meyer had an idea Wilson might be able to add something immediately after watching the way he split defenses playing in the upper echelon Class 5A division of Texas high-school football. Now Meyer has seen Wilson for three days on the practice field.
“He’s got something that we didn’t have, and that’s just electric speed,” Meyer said. “And he doesn’t care, he just goes hard. ... He’s got jets.”
