I am willing to Vbet that the offense averages over 41 points a game this year.

It averaged over 37 ppg last year, so an extra 4 ppg isn't much of a stretch. This question is whether they can put up 30+ against everyone on the schedule. Keep in mind that we were held to under 20 in regulation three times last year: 17 vs. MSU, 14 vs. Wiscy, and 14 against Purdue (well, 14 points for all but the last 3 seconds).

Goodness that'd be insane. I'd have to wager against that. That's scoring at least 5 times a game, every game. I wonder if any of his Florida teams were even able to do that.

Nebraska scored 35+ points every game in 1995, so it can be done. The occasional special team and defensive TD would help. Not saying I'm expecting that, though...

Don't forget that the 37 ppg average included that ridiculous, lopsided # they put up on Nebraska. Don't know if they are going to put up 60+ on anyone this year. That score helped bring up some of those low point totals against Wisky, MSU and Purdue.

I could see a few crooked #'s during the non-con and Urban not taking the foot off the jugular late in games just so he can get his freshmen's feet wet. I could see them averaging 40+ this year for sure. Gotta figure there is going to be remarkable improvement in all facets: w/ the O-line (they were solid last yr), ST's, WR development, Braxton's passing, more weapons, more room for the backs to run b/c of all the other options, more big plays (from others besides just Braxton).

And I do expect some ups and downs w/ this defense early (like last year) so we may find ourselves in a few shoot outs early in conference play too (NW?). And I like our chances in those games w/ Braxton behind center and more weapons @ his disposal to exploit defenses.

I could definitely see 40+ per game this year.
