Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

It's crazy that the top 3 teams in the NHL are from the same division.

Which makes this season all the more impressive. Not only are they on the bring of being the best team record wise in the NHL, they're doing it in by far the toughest division.

The Rangers also have the 5th most points in the league, and they are 4th in the division. Insane.

Yeah, no more paper bags this season......:slappy:

this team would be for [Mark May] if it were not for Bob:bow: tied for second with 9 games to go
things could get interesting

Re: The Columbus Blue Jackets decided to complete only two trades, acquiring defenseman Kyle Quincey from the New Jersey Devils for defensemen Dalton Prout in the first move, and then adding Dallas Stars winger Lauri Korpikoski to the roster while sending out defenseman Dillon Heatherington.

Disappointed that they didn't pick up a good serviceable backup goalie too. Wasn't here a "Ron Tugnutt" type of guy (i.e. that is in the twilight of his career, would go for a trade to a contender, and be willing to back up Bob for a couple years to extend his career, etc.) available?

It's too early to give up on Korpisalo. He's only 22 and has shown a lot of promise. Sure he isn't going to put up Vezina-type numbers as Bob's backup, but I definitely don't want to ship him off too soon.

168_h.jpg

Today, the Blue Jackets announced single game tickets for all four potential Eastern Conference Quarterfinal games played at Nationwide Arena will go on sale Tuesday, April 4 at 10 a.m.

The NHL won't announce the Stanley Cup Playoff schedule until April 9, but tickets for first round home games, 1, 2, and if necessary, 3 and 4, will be available at the Big Lots Box Office at Nationwide Arena, all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, the Fox Sports Ohio Blue Line at The Mall at Tuttle Crossing, online at BlueJackets.com and Ticketmaster.com or by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Had lower bowl great seats against Philly last weekend. I don't know if watching on TV does justice to how good Bob really is.

Also, this team's middling performance on the power play since their long win streak has to improve if they want to make a legit Cup run. They can't count on Bob to perform at this level as a safety net. They'll need to get much better at getting and keeping the puck out of their own zone.
