I think it was the year the CBJ traded Mary-ANN Gaborik to the Kings - anyway, that team ended the year by losing 7 out of their last 10, but when the playoffs started, they won something like 15 of 17 playoff games (until losing a couple in a row in the finals) before winning the cup.

What really matters is if these are defensive breakdowns that are fixable or due to lack of talent. I think if Werenski is able to play and be effective at least 2 if not 3 of these losses end up being wins.

either way - a hot goalie can steal a playoff series. Bob can do it. But this team has a higher ceiling than that if they play well.

Hartnell has a history of starting all sorts of shit with the Penwhines....so does Dubinsky. If they can get into Crysby's head (and/or frustrate Shrek), they can certainly win a series against pittsburgh....
