You think much better of the ttun administration than I do.Which, if they're smart (and history indicates they are not), they're looking in many different directions from SF. Harbaugh ain't going there, and if they're spending too much time on him, or holding off until the NFL season is over, they're even dumber than I think they are. They should make the effort to talk to him, but if he isn't willing to give them assurances he's willing to deal, they need to move on. There might not be any other "homeruns" but there's other solid coaches out there that can at least get them back to respectability, and waiting and missing on Harbaugh means they probably have to settle for another Brady Hoke kind of hire (like Addazio). They should really zero in on guys like Gundy, Mora, and maybe Shaw. Gundy is widely said to be fed up at oOSU, so he'd probably listen. I don't think Mora's entrenched at UCLA. And though Shaw is a Stanford alum, money talks.
It might end up being somebody totally out of left-field like corn. Hackett has one thing going for him, he's not sailboatin' Bill (YMSOB), or the Pizza Guy (YRSOB), so he pretty much HAS to be a step up.
Former Falcons and Seahawks coach, and current UCLA head football coach, Jim Mora Jr. has authorized his agent to contact Michigan’s Athletic Director Jim Hackett on his behalf and express that Mora would accept the Michigan job on the spot if offered.

Here’s the BIG news though: Our source tells us that Michigan has given Jim Harbaugh a deadline of next Friday December 12th to give a 100% yes that he will accept the Michigan coaching job (privately) or they will move forward and hire Mora.
I think my favorite part is that Butch Jones would have walked from Cincinnati to Ann Arbor four years ago and coached Michigan for free. Now he's telling them he doesn't want the job.

From Chatsports, so the credibility is questionable. But here's the story:
Am I the only one hoping for TTUN to hire Harbaugh?
