Butch going to lock up some more money.

I really regret not taking the advice of my high school guidance counselors or demonstrations at career fairs seriously now. If only I'd known back then that there were actual professions where you could negotiate a massive raise every time somebody else in your profession got fired.

Source: Butch Jones isn’t going to Michigan, despite overtures. He will sign a new contract within a week at UT. Raise will exceed $250,000.

It might end up being somebody totally out of left-field like corn. Hackett has one thing going for him, he's not sailboatin' Bill (YMSOB), or the Pizza Guy (YRSOB), so he pretty much HAS to be a step up.

From Chatsports, so the credibility is questionable. But here's the story:

Former Falcons and Seahawks coach, and current UCLA head football coach, Jim Mora Jr. has authorized his agent to contact Michigan’s Athletic Director Jim Hackett on his behalf and express that Mora would accept the Michigan job on the spot if offered.

Here’s the BIG news though: Our source tells us that Michigan has given Jim Harbaugh a deadline of next Friday December 12th to give a 100% yes that he will accept the Michigan coaching job (privately) or they will move forward and hire Mora.

That and the uncomfortable reality for scUM fans that offers wouldn't be made to Jones if Jimmy H was in the bag.
