Day even swung for him at least once. And he thought about it then decided to go back to LSUYes he was. A lot of us wanted him.
But can we agree that Florida is trash?Exactly.
Zero pearl clutching about how this will ruin college football from anyone or how this guy clearly isn’t a fit or the type you build a program around etc etc etc.

ScriptOhio;1329191; said:Utah State football coach Brent Guy, who has failed to win more than three games during any of his four seasons in Logan, was fired Sunday, The Salt Lake Tribune has learned.
According to multiple sources close to the program, Guy and USU athletic director Scott Barnes delivered news of the dismissal to the team during a Sunday afternoon meeting.
Guy will finish out the season, with his last game on Nov. 29 at Romney Stadium against New Mexico State.

FWBuckeye;1329867; said:Nebraska did consider him, rumors stated that he was the second choice if Pelini turned down the job. As for the job he's done at Buffalo, he transformed the football program from one of the worst in the country to being bowl eligible this year and possibly conference champions this year. Assuming they get an invite, this will be only the 2nd post season game that Buffalo has ever been to in the 91 seasons that the program has existed. In the previous seven seasons before Turner Gill got there, Buffalo was 10-69. In his three seasons at Buffalo he was already won 13 games. They are currently leading the MAC East right now. With two games left in the regular season, plus possibly the MAC championship game, plus a likely bowl invite left in the season, he has the opportunity to win 10 game this season. Before he got there, Buffalo was considered one of those jobs that would basically be career suicide to take. I think he has done an excellent job of establishing credibility for the football program and turning them into a serious contender in the MAC.
The only reason I have followed Turner Gill's career this closely is because he is a graduate of my high school here in Fort Worth. I wish him all the success in the world!
