Kansas City "ace" Jason Hammel perfect through five innings against the Tribe's pop gun offense.

Mullet Man also pitching the shut out through six with 9 strikes outs.

EDIT: Bradley Zimmer breaks up the perfect game with a single with one out in the bottom of the 6th.

And Roberto Perez follows with a 2-run home run to break up the shut out and give the Tribe a 2-0 lead.

The Tribe with 12 runs through 1.1 innings against the Royals' AAA staff, with 12 hits, 2 doubles, 3 home runs (including grand slam by Gomes), and 3 walks.

EDIT: Royals' relief pitcher Onelki Garcia, in his first major league action since 2013, sporting the 67.50 ERA after giving up five runs in .2 innings.

EDIT: Meanwhile in NYC, the Mariners committed five errors in the first inning as the Yankees scored six runs.
