I remember the insane hype around him when he came up (#1 prospect in baseball in 2008). I also remember how Reds fans turned on him when it became clear he wasn't gonna match the hype. It was awesome. :lol:

I dont expect him to be earth shattering but its at least a decent shot for giving up a nobody prospect and paying some salary.

If Brantley ends up out a extended period id rather have Bruce out there with a chance at a flash in the pan rather than Hack-A-Almonte, who even when hes "on" doesnt provide much.

Yeah, I mean that's a deal they had to make. The offense needs some kind of spark, and at least Bruce is capable of that. Of course, he's just as capable of flopping and putting up the stats I mentioned above, but they have fuck-all to lose. The guy has cranked 29 hrs and driven in 75 this year. That's 7 and 11 more than any of these chuckle-heads.
