Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I'd rather talk about trade rumors than the past 3+ pages of this thread.

True, but most of the rumors on Cavs sites are so f'ing ridiculous it hurts to read them.

I may be in the minority but I say use all four picks and bring in four rookies. The second rounders can spend time in Canton if needed. Like Stow was alluding to, I think even the second rounders will be value picks. Four of the top 34 picks in a pretty good draft will go along way toward getting much-needed depth for this team in the future. No more stiffs like Hollins

This is going to come as a huge surprise to you Cavs/Browns fans, but, draft busts do happen. If we get 3 good players out of 5 picks, it's a great days work. Jamison is gone, and I wouldn't be heart broken if we replaced Anthony Parker, Manny Harris, Luke Harangody, Semih Erden, and DJ Kennedy from the existing roster with better players.

NBA Combine
Jeff Goodman@GoodmanCBS
Bradley Beal measured 6-4 1/4 and 6-8 wingspan.

Jeff Goodman@GoodmanCBS
Brad Beal and Jeremy Lamb both sitting courtside watching entire combine. Both would have thrived in this setting.

Jeff Goodman@GoodmanCBS
Ten guys opt not to participate in NBA combine: Davis, Beal, Barnes, MKG, T-Rob, Drummond, J Lamb, Waiters, Rivers, Moultrie. Unreal.

Cavs could have drafted 4 last year.. but elected to draft 3 with one of those being stashed away (don't we still 'own' rights to MacVan?) and trade one .. so it seems reasonable they won't want 4 rookies at the same time... plus whatever happens with MacVan

I don't think we draft & keep all 4

Not sure how much interest there is in making an Official 2012 NBA Draft thread, since a lot of discussion simply takes place in here (is about time for 2012-2013 thread though...this season has run its course).

Official measurements released today:

Edit- this link will do...

TRob - 6'8" in shoes yeah i figured 6'10" was a stretch.. still on my do not want list.

its pretty clear... some guys were wearing multiple socks, or more padding than others

I have not kept up on any draft workouts or who the Cavs may or may not take. I've just read the opinions on here. What are everybody's thoughts on Austin Rivers?

Stephen Curry with less of a jumper, and better ball handling skills. Do not want. He'd fit right in with New York.

So it sounds like Cavs fans need to hope Robinson and Drummond blow up in the team workouts and move up to 2-3. Sounds like neither hurt themselves at the combine.

This would be good because that would guarantee Beal or MKG which I prefer to either big man at this point.

I like him. I think he's more fitted for the 2 spot at the next level, but he definitely can play combo guard. He's going to fill in his frame better than Stephon Curry. He has good range, smooth stroke, good ball handling. I also think he's more athletic than people give him credit for.

I'm not sure why people are so down on him. But for Cleveland, I'm not sure he fits with what Kyrie Irving does. He's not necessarily redundant, but he's not the protypical athletic spot-up shooter we're looking for to fill the 2. That's Bradley Beal.

EDIT: I really think Beal would blossom next to a PG that willl create shots for him. He was stuck with Boynton and Walker last year, who were both chuckers not distributors. I think it held him back big time.
