I don't know what Kyrie Irving is. I do know he's not from Northeast Ohio. Lebron isn't the only Cleveland sports free agent to bolt town. He's just the only one that did so after his team posted the best record in the NBA two years in a row for a team 35 minutes from where he grew up.

You really shouldn't call anybody out for "talking out of their ass." You've been making [Mark May] up this whole debate. At least I'm not faking facts.

You want to draft a big athletic man with no basketball skills. Fine. I want to draft a big athletic wing with basketball skills. We'll see in a few years who was right.

they aren't fake facts just because you didn't follow cleveland's predraft workouts last year. sorry.

i want to draft an athletic freak at a premium position instead of an average athlete that excels at no single facet of his game. nothing more. and again, for the 100th time since you don't seem to grasp it, it will all hinge on the nba combine and workouts, which is the one point that you habitually gloss over in your little tangents.

You said it was known that the Cavs were "likely" to take TT last year in response to my assertion that no one knows what the Cavs are going to do. The first time TT's name came up as a possibility was the eve of the draft and even then it was dismissed as "unlikely" given his ties to LRMR.

I reiterate and I'm confident I am right: The Cavs do not know yet what they're going to do with the #4 pick as of June 6, 2012. They probably won't know until draft day. It's all supposition as this point.

You attempted to list SFs that were busts, but included players that aren't small forwards to support your argument.

Don't get mad now about it. Just accept it and move on.

I want to draft an "athletic freak" (I'm guessing this is a thing now) that excels at every facet of the game at any position. That guy won't be there at #4. But it would be nice if he could play a little offense.

Center isn't the premium position you're making it out to be. The starting centers in this year's final four are Kendrick Perkins, Tim Duncan (really a PF), Brandon Bass (again, PF), and Udonis Haslem (PF). Tiago Splitter, Serge Ibaka, Greg Stiemsma, and Joel Anthony are also rotating at center for those teams. The best centers in the league (Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Roy Hibbert) are all sitting at home. Michael Jordan won 3 titles with Luc Longley. The Mavs won a title with Brendan Haywood. The Pistons won a title with Ben Wallace. Now unless you think Drummond is the next Olajuwon or Shaq (Ha!), he's not going to be a premium player at a premium position. He could be a marginal player at a marginal position - which is just fine if we want to throw away a pick.

And it won't "all" hinge on combines and workouts - or at least I hope not. I would think the front office plans on watching a little tape as well. But they'll eventually do what they do. I don't have to agree with it. You don't have to agree with it.

Let me just point out, lest there be any confusion, that my preference for this draft is Bradley Beal. I understand the size concerns, but this young man is a very mature, physically and mentally, freshman that can shoot the rock from anywhere on the court.

If he's there are 4, we should take him and pair him up with Kyrie for the next 10+ years.

I wan Beal as well. I'm sold on the fact that MKG will be gone so I don't hold out hope off him or else I would want him. Beal would make a powerful backcourt for a decade.

you are not right. just because you didn't follow what was going on doesn't mean it didn't happen. willful ignorance doesn't make you correct. and i'll keep repeating it until you grasp it, but it will all hinge on workouts, just like it did last year when thomspon outperformed kanter and others head to head in cleveland. why you can't comprehend this is baffling at best. i suggest you expand your knowledge base to something beyond looking at mock drafts.

as for the centers in the playoffs currently, that's poor logic once again. it's like saying it's not worth drafting a franchise LT because of who the giants and patriots started at the position in this year's superbowl.

this is one thing we actually agree on. the fact that he averaged as many rebounds as he did as a freshman, especially as much as he played the SF and even PF spot at times, should assuage some size concerns, especially if he checks in a 6'4'' plus.

Sources say the Cavaliers are very high on the 20-year-old small forward and appear unlikely to let him slip past them at the No. 4 slot in the June 28 draft. While this week's predraft combine in Chicago (June 6-7), and the team workouts thereafter, could always change things, rival executives are planning for Barnes to be off the board by the time the fifth pick (Sacramento) rolls around.

"He's a pretty big deal to them," one such executive said.

Could be subterfuge and I'm sure the front office, who will be paying close attention at the combines, has hardly made up their minds. But early buzz for Barnes.

Well, it's certainly not worthing drafting a 6'7, 315 lb. LT that runs a 4.9 40... but can't block.
