Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I agree that as Lebron ages he is going to evolve into a 4 rather than a 3. Given that the Cavs no longer need to make a move I don't know if I would go for something like Crowder/Bradley for Love. Maybe if the Celtics sweeten the deal with the right draft pick it could make the Cavs want to make a deal. I personally think that Bradley and Crowder would make the Cavs better against the Warriors, but overall I just don't know if it's worth it. Too bad the draft is tomorrow so there isn't enough time to make a move beforehand.

You're absolutely right. The challenging thing for Cleveland's front office is deciding whether they should build the team to compete against Golden State or the field. Despite the fact that the Cavs figured out how to beat the Warriors, I'm not sure that success is replicable with the current roster. It took a superhuman effort from LeBron James, and Curry playing some pretty shitty ball (hurt or not). History tells us that you're better off taking the field (especially with how close OKC was), but the Warriors were legitimately an all-time team this year. There's no telling how long their reign will last.

All that said, I think the league is moving toward athletic, switchable wing defenders, so I would make a move regardless. Plus, I think you're also better against OKC without Love. San Antonio might be the one exception, but they have some figuring out to do before we panic about that.

For Cavs fans, it's time to sit back and relax (and hope Durant doesn't sign with Golden State).

God bless those of you out there who find it necessary to analyze the roster of a team that just won the World Cahmpionship and what might make them better or insanely what's wrong with it. Fuck it! I see I spelled Championship wrong in the previous sentence and have no intention of going back and correcting it. I'm on vacation and celebrating the hell out of this amazing accomplishment by the Cavs. This is a time to enjoy and celebrate, not to look at what might be wrong or needs fixed with a team that defied all odds and did something never before accomplished. Today's parade and celebration did make me get kinda philosophical in a way though, I suppose. I philosophized about after 5 hours in the sun how much whiter the titties of the beautiful Cavaliers Girls have gotten in contrast to their tan lines. That's about as deep as I'm ready to think tonite!

Peace to all, and as always: GO BUCKEYES!!!! And Rock'on CAVALIERS!!!!

It all depends on what offers they get. The Cavs are in the driver's seat now. If they get a garbage offer, they can simply say no. They are no longer in panic mode, and it's up to someone else to wow them. I think the Celtics fail to trade their draft picks, get desperate, and offer the Cavs Crowder and Bradley or Crowder and Smart. CJ McCollum and Jimmy Butler (although unlikely) are both in play as well.

I know everyone is sentimental after the championship, but the Cavs can do better than Love. Because he can't defend the rim, Love needs to play the 4, and as we saw in the Finals, this team is best with LeBron at the 4 and Thompson at the 5. They need to add wings and a defense-first center who can come off the bench.

Lebron is better at the 4 but he isn't going to log 30+ minutes a game there for 82 games during the regular season. They still need a starting caliber power forward on the roster. Not all teams play small ball and you don't want Lebron battling underneath all year wearing down for the playoffs. Love is definitely expensive, which I think will limit the offers they get.

So you either go after a Center so Thompson can play PF or stick with Love. I don't think Mosgov is the answer at Center and you don't want Thompson battling at Center for 82 games a year either.

Cavs have no draft picks. Celtics have 3 first rounders. Kevin Love would probably be a better fit in Boston. 8D
I don't know why - probably because I don't watch basketball all that much but I feel like Buddy Hield would be a really good fit for this team, especially as a 2nd team off the bench guy who can shoot.

Probably D League with Mo Gotti coming back.
I like it because it was free except for Dan Gilbert.
Short but an explosive athlete. Highest vert at the combine.
Nate Robinson is an apt comparison.

It will be interesting to see what the decide in term of Delli and Moz.
And of course Love.
As has been mentioned with the title procured thr Cavs have leverage.
