Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Probably D League with Mo Gotti coming back.
I like it because it was free except for Dan Gilbert.
Short but an explosive athlete. Highest vert at the combine.
Nate Robinson is an apt comparison.

It will be interesting to see what the decide in term of Delli and Moz.
And of course Love.
As has been mentioned with the title procured thr Cavs have leverage.

Delly is still a restricted FA. Not sure if anyone will throw a ton of money at him since he disappeared in the playoffs this year. If Delly can continue to improve the things that he improved after last season and sustain it through the whole season I want him in Cleveland. Timo is unrestricted, but he did nothing this year so I doubt he gets paid either. I'd bring him back for 2+1 years at his current salary.

Brian Windhorst was on a podcast with Zach Lowe the day after Game 7 and said the Bucks and Pistons were scouting Delly hard during the playoffs. He said the Bucks were sending tons of scouts and Jason Kidd even showed up for a game or two. Made it sound like Delly could be in line for a contract that may be a bit too rich for the Cavs' taste (neighborhood of $10 million a year).

Also, this year's FA crop for point guards, with the exception of Conley, is not all that great. Delly stands out as a guy on the upswing of his career who has proven he can run an offense and defend both guard spots well. He was banged up as the season went on, but played very well filling in while Kyrie rehabbed.

Felder is pretty explosive for his size and the word is he's one of the strongest guys in the draft - which says a lot considering his stature. I think he's a guy the Cavs would like to come off the bench and be a facilitator and defensive guard stopper. He's probably not guarding Durant but he could give guys like Curry a serious problem with his intangibles. Of course, all of this depends on how he works and develops to making the roster.

I like the Felder pick. The Cavs need to stop giving away draft picks so they can develop young talent. He'll probably be the 3rd PG until Mo Williams retires, but hopefully by then he'll be a serviceable backup.

Nothing is going right for Boston, which is great for the Cavs. Ainge might get desperate and throw together a monster offer for Love in the coming months. I also like the idea of CJ McCollum. Jimmy Butler would be ideal, but the Cavs don't have the young talent that Chicago seems to want.

I've also been having wet dreams about Dwyane Wade to the Cavs. The guy gets hurt every year, but if he only had to come off the bench for 20 minutes a game, I'm betting we could get the old Wade back. Why not team up with LeBron and try for more rings?

The sharpshooter and the rim protector is what the Cavs have to sure up. JR will find a new home most likely and Moz is just not the beast in there to get enough minutes. Not sure either option is out there anywhere.

Did he sign already?
No. As an unrestricted free agent, he can't agree to a deal until July 1.

After the season J.R. put together, I think this has a chance to be a long negotiation. Also need to keep in mind he changed his representation over to Rich Paul and Klutch Sports. Paul has definitely earned a reputation as a hard-line, and tough, negotiator (see: Eric Bledsoe and Tristan Thompson).

I'm sure he turned down his player option was because of the new cap... but I have little doubt HE would want to return... and I have little doubt we can land a better STARTER with zero cap space and only $5M exceptions at out finger tips

IMO JR deserved Shump's $10M... and Shump only deserved JRs 5 or 6M
