Clarett spilling the beans

There comes a point where you have to take a stand. Besides, we're not Miami of Ohio, any year we go undefeated or just lose one game, I don't care how biased the pollsters are, they can't ignore us even if we ignore them.

Not sure anything would be different anyway. There's one pillar of objectivity on the media poll who has come right out and said he wouldn't vote OSU into the top 25 because of the way they handled the Clarett situation.

Ryan Hockensmith is a former Penn State student. That's interesting.

Anyway, I know it won't happen, but that doesn't stop me from wishing it would.

Somewhere at some time, someone is going to have to take a serious stand against what journalism has turned into.

That's true- and of course the other side of the argument is that ESPN is shooting itself in the foot by dragging Ohio State through the mud. I can't imagine that CBS has been helped by the Alabama "situation" and it can't do anything but hurt ABC's ratings by marginalizing Ohio State's position from both a fanbase perspective and also jeopaodizing their ability to compete nationally. I'm sure The Game is a nice ratings machine for them.

Anyway... with all that in mind, something needs to be done to remind ABC/ESPN that this is a two way street.

If OSU gave Marco sooo much money why in the hell was he selling drugs and carrying weapons.

If OSU was giving MOC sooo much money why bother fighting the system and trying to get to the NFL. You mean football players get extra help from advisors that are not available to regular students... no shit!!! They deserve it, they put in a LOT for the program. But he is trying to clear his name for the NFL my ASS!!!! If he was worried about having a clean name all he had to say was NO, I am a good person and will not accept this stuff. I am calling horseshit on this...

If Sammy Maldonado was soooo smart why did he not control is own academic progress instead of relying on an academic advisor. Dumb ass, you alone control your education... funny how Craig krenzel and a million other athletes were able to succeed in and out of class. Funny how you suck ass at Maryland too... sorry tell your mommy on me, I hurt your feelings you little prick.

Mother F*Ing tool bags... Why were these questions not asked?

marco cooper was on the team for a total of maybe 3 weeks in JT's tenure. Was maldonado even on the '01 team, or had he transferred before then?

so any arrangements cooper wants to speak of were done before tressel even arrived here. i dont know the maldonado situation. it seems like espn could have done better in getting some reliable sources.

I can't say that this is really a suprise... look at the advice MoC has taken over the last several years. It's all about the money. He's a thug.... when he didn't get his way with the NFL he wanted to get back at OSU... this is his way of doing it. He knows that it will be a story and will give the University bad press.

I do not have tickets for the game yet. But I might still come up to help dismantle the gameday stage.

Guys, there is a significant body of thought that says that any press is good press. While this is obviousy bad news in the short term, in the long run the reason that ESPN tries to rip OSU is that we are the #1 program in the country. We are the largest and have the most Alum in the US. If this was about TCU people would not care. We are the biggest and this story will not change that fact. This fact is not lost on the recruits.

Pu$$y whip my shoulder hurts (MOC) tries to look like a good guy and says what if I told them everything... what about my team mates? WELL WHAT ABOUT YOUR TEAM MATES NOW... My god, I can not believe none of this was questioned or brought out by the reporter... you know journalism.... point/counter.... You think in NFL team will want a little snitch bitch in theor locker room.... if you are calling college corruopt son wait to you get yours in the NFL.

I must admit I haven't read this entire thread, but where are all the people who were trashing everyone who dared say a bad word about Clarett? Has he repaid your loyalty? Is this really a surprise to anyone? I'm sorry, he was a good back and all, maybe evben exceptional, but some people just had the wool pulled over their eyes.
