Clarett spilling the beans

Actually, this story makes me feel a little better. The NCAA investigated all of these "allegations" during their investigation last year. They didn't uncover anything then, and I highly doubt they'll uncover anything now. The problem, however, is the breaking of this story. Even if nothing is proven, tOSU name is (once again) tarnished, and this will definitely effect recruiting.

Now my question is all these people that have "Heard this was coming"... well, what's the rest of the story? It is out now, so might as well bring the rest out...

anyone... anyone... anyone??? Bueller... Bueller

Of course by effecting recruting you mean, "Sweet, Ohio State gives you cash and new rides...lets go"

Time for all of us to get pulled through the mud again. And this time it's Clarett's doing. I came out of it last time wishing the kid well, appreciating his contribution to the team, giving us a title trophy, etc. Sure, a little bitter about how bad it all went, certainly disappointed, but largely wishing him well, and hoping he would have a great pro career.

How I feel now, I'll keep to myself, because it's best left unsaid. But suffice it to say, I feel differently than before.
i doubt you need to explain it. we all feel the same way :smash:

Here, here. Sammy Maldanado has to be the worst. He's complaining about the courses he took not transferring? Maybe that shitsack should have scheduled classes a little better. That is his responsibility, not the university's.

I am cnaceling my ESPN the magazine subrscription today - this is getting totally absurd
Maurice Clarett- lied to the police - thrown off the team - quit college
Marco Cooper - picked up with drugs and guns - thrown off the team - probably in jail
Sammy Maldonado - quit the team - nailed from drugs at tOsu and Maryland

VERY VERY VERY reliable sources - why not ask all the other OSU football players without an AX to grind to comment

Poor poor Clarett - 2 years doing nothing went from a possible Top 5 draft choice to maybe 4-5th round - won't blame himself but tOSU for this

get a life and hopefully someone in the NFL that graduated tOSU will tackle the shit out of him
Call Jim Brown for more advise

Tell you guys what, as much as I think MoC is just trying to pull the spot light back on him.. this doesn't sound good AT ALL...

I still think most of it will turn out unfounded, or not related to the university, but seeing Cooper (again great track record there) and Sammy M all having similar comments doesn't look good.

How would they not be the same, I am quite sure that the stupid reporters called up Marco and Sammy and said "Hey, Clarret says all this about what happened at tOSU" Could we talk about what happened there, BTW here is his phone #. He wants you to give him a call."

i dont know about any of you, but when i was in school they pretty much told us the majority of our classes wouldnt transfer to a different school of equal standing (in PA there are a certain number of state schools that are all aligned with each other. you cant even transfer in between them.)

as to the academics side.....everybody does a little to help their athletes.....

hell, i had a tutor assigned to me (free) that i would meet with every weeknight from 7-8 to make sure i was progressing.....i had to have professors sign attendance slips to prove i was in class....is that favoritism or just an athletics program making sure i stayed eligible and on-track??

You know, you figure something like this would affect recruiting but I'm not sure it will. Did any of the recruits we lost during the previous investigation say that they weren't going to Ohio State because it was being investigated by the NCAA? Unless Ohio State is proven guilty I think recruiting will be fine. I trust Mr. Geiger and Tressel will handle this whole mess accordingly and everything will turn out ok.
