Clarett spilling the beans

it seems like espn could have done better in getting some reliable sources
Hey from ESPN's perspective -- these were the MOST RELIABLE sources.

You could rely on them to spin,
you could rely on them to pin the tail on JT and Geiger and tOSU,
you could rely on them to have an axe to grind,
you could rely on them to have a complete disregard fr the truth.

These are VERY reliable sources yer honors.

Colin Cowherd talking about it on ESPN radio. He doesn't really buy the MoC story because of the sources...but Ivan Maisel is backing it (surprise surprise).
cowherd is the most reasonable ESPN guy ive ever listened to. shocking that he has the shortest tenure there too.

Geigers comments should be as follows:

"Clarett is a fuckwad. ESPN managed to find two other fuckwads to go along with him. Here is a copy of the NCAA investigation and findings. I'm going to lunch."
You forgot the next part...

"ESPN will be hearing from our lawyers and if everything goes right they will pay for everyone's Football Tickets for next year"

Could somebody get an E-mail address over at ESPN so all the poster here can shoot all there thoughts to them?

P.S. Clarett got knocked out by a former O-State player at Kory Stinger memorial service for running his mouth. That is not a BS story. One punch!!!!

Okay, so I just read the ESPN story and I have to admit in my scarlet and gray glasses that I do not see much of anything factual there. My thoughts:

1. IF all of this was going on and OSU did not want it to become public, why not just let him back on the field and in the program as soon as possible? If he cannot play he might flip on the school and tell everything to the NCAA.

2. Your corroborating sources are a convicted felon and a kid who transfered who is mad because not quite half of his credits transfered.

3. His track record is he is a good player, who has a serious chip on his shoulder and lies.

4. How the hell does he think this is going to make him a better candidate for the draft? "NFL GMs know college players take money." If this is such a known issue why haven't the GMs talked to the NCAA or vice-versa? Also, what kind of a welcome will the pros have for him if he ever makes it to a team?

The kid is a serious headcase who has an axe to grind with the school. He knows there is no better way to get to the program then right before michigan week. Screw him and his whole damn group.

This just doesn’t add up. Jim Tressel was hired at OSU on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:date Month="1" Day="18" Year="2001">Jan 18 2001</st1:date>. Marco Cooper was kicked off the team in April of 2002. Sammy Maldonado sat out at <st1:State><st1:place>Maryland</st1:place></st1:State> in 2001. How ESPN can use Maldonado as a cooberating source is sheer lunacy. He was already gone…

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p> </o:p>

In order to buy Cooper’s statements, you’d have to believe that the current staff came in and started handing out the money right away… I don’t buy a bit of it.<o:p></o:p>
