ACC commisioner just called for an 8 team playoff. Let's see if Delaney can unhoke himself and get on board--with first round homefield this time around unless he (and the ADs) have some more bowls' interests to look out for at the expense of the schools and their communities.

Assuming MSU beats Ole Miss and the top 7 win out, we'd be looking at

UCLA/Sparty @ Bama

MSU @ TCU

Ohio State @ FSU

Baylor @ Oregon

I'd be willing to bet any amount of money that the score of such a football game would be something to rival the old Loyal Marymount basketball scores.

With Baylor beating Okie State going away and tOSU not winning impressively, I have to think that Baylor jumps us. Va Tech getting beat by Wake Forest in a game that was unwatchable didn't help either. I was feeling pretty confident that all tOSU had to do was win out, but I'm not so sure about that anymore. Maybe a drubbing of ttun and a solid win over a top 10-12 Wiscy will be enough, but I doubt it. Especially with Baylor having K State left.

Hopefully the CFP Committee puts a lot of weight in conference championships.

The ACC/ND shitting the bed constantly may keep us out. Unless UF/GT finds a way to beat FSU, or Oregon getting the L in the Championship game, I think we're out. I personally think the B12 winner will, and should, be ahead of us. Whether that be TCU or Baylor.

FSU has more first place votes, but drops behind SEC... suggests a lot of coaches must be voting FSU lower than even 2.

The grouping of TCU, Baylor, and Ohio State is now TCU and Baylor, with Ohio State a vote or more lower depending on the poll. Destroying TSUN will not change this. Perhaps destroying Wisky might. If the committee is similarly influenced by the underwhelming performance against Indiana, the reality is that Ohio State needs three losses to get into the NC game and chances of that are pretty slim unless...

the AP and coaches polls are completely irrelevant. Just win out.
