2013 Preseason and regular polls

I don't think FSU is better than us. I just don't like how we match up. It would be an all-out shootout... which offense makes a mistake first?
And I'm just not comfortable with that kind of game ... I'm too accustomed to having dominant defenses (with above-average offenses)
In terms of matchups, I'd say...
Good Guys advantage over 'Bama: We can outscore them. Limit McCaron & co. in the first half (far lesser teams have done so) and we can ride our dominant Oline and Hyde to the win.
Bama advantage over FSU: they punch them in the mouth and we see a game similar to Oregon - Stanford
FSU advantage over Us: Our coverage is still suspect and it'd be an outright shootout.

Yesterday unleashed a MarkMay storm for the BCS. In the PAC12, Oregon, Utah, and UCLA all lost. The great ESPiN hopes of Baylor, Oregon, and Texas A&M lost.

Even Florida's loss to Georgia Southern has implications to SEC overall SOS.

We could very well see a major realignment, more than just Baylor, Oregon, and A&M falling in the computer models. It will be interesting to see what happens to the B1G overall position, although probably it does not move much.

Now, we just need to win our last two and have Auburn or Missouri to do their jobs.

Just wait till bowl season. These same people will have us as 3-7 point dogs to those teams
Three to seven point dogs? We should only be so lucky. Here's a gem from prior to the 2010 Rose Bowl when the pathetic little Buckeyes were going to be pounded back into the Stone Age by those mighty Oregon Ducks:

http://www.bucknuts.com.php5-6.dfw1...n,com_idoblog/Itemid,0/id,9005/task,viewpost/

To save you the grief of reading the entire "analysis", here's a brief summary:

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

blah blah blah

Prediction:

Oregon 48, Ohio State 27

And let's not forget that the media bias against Ohio State goes back at least until 2002, when even after Ohio State won the national championship by beating the unbeatable Miami Hurricanes, the pundits were still saying that Ohio State wasn't even the best team in the Big Ten (Iowa was), and that Southern Cal (11-2 with losses to Kansas State and Washington State ... yeah, that same Washington State team that we beat 25-7) was the real national champion. The basis for their "logic"? Ohio State "ducked" Iowa (those damned schedule makers always making things so easy for Ohio State) and Southern Cal beat Iowa 38-17 in the Rose Bowl.

So to recap:

Iowa was better than Ohio State.

Southern Cal crushed Iowa.

Southern Cal would have crushed Ohio State.

Southern Cal was the real national champion.

Ohio State beating an unbeatable team is irrelevant.

It is just so easy to be a member of the media these days.

And the answer they gave was no, not really.
That the question was even asked is mind numbing.
Exactly. The first time I heard them talk about Baylor jumping tOSU it was the same. The very next week, it couldn't be denied.

They're bullshit farmers. They first plant a bullshit seed. They say to each other "I don't think it's going to grow. CFB fans can't be that stupid!", but grow it does. It doesn't have to be ready for harvest until the Monday following the Iron Bowl. Rest assured that if Bama loses, they'll harvest the fucker as quickly as they can.
