Media: Oregon would roll Ohio State.
Reality: Oregon with two losses, including a 26-point loss to unranked Arizona; Ohio State still perfect.
Media: Stanford would crush Ohio State.
Reality: Stanford with two losses, including to 4-7 Utah; Ohio State still perfect.
Media: Baylor would run Ohio State out of the stadium.
Reality: Baylor blown out by 32 points; Ohio State still perfect.
So when the media says that Ohio State would get killed by Alabama or Florida State, I'm not gonna buy it.

I honestly don't think that you guys could beat Bama this year. But I don't think most teams could beat them. Not because you guys aren't better.
It's because their head coach is a redazz.
And he's got a crazy redazz daughter.
I honestly think those kids play for survival week in and week out in Bammer.

They're ranked in the Polls ... but computer score is apparently so low that they didn't crack BCS top-25.

I actually like how we match up against 'Bama. Their offense is vanilla and plays to our D's strengths. It'd be a bit of a shootout, but I could well see going into the half 21-10 or something like that; with a lot of scoring in the 3rd and then Rolling Hyde all over the 'tide in the 4th quarter to hold out.
I have different feelings about FSU w/Winston slinging it.

You're probably right, the question should be asked. It will be interesting to see what the computer scores will be if the top three win out.
At this point though, I'm pretty content to let it all play out. If Bama and FSU go to the NCG, then good for them, they are both great teams and have played great in most of their games this season. You can't say they don't deserve it. I'm just glad there is little chance of being jumped by someone at this point.

I'm not sure this years Bama is up to the standard of the past four years. Their lines are still outstanding so OSU would be in for a 12-round fight, but I think it's a winnable matchup. Florida St, on the other hand, would pick OSU's secondary apart something awful IMO. FSU would not be a good matchup with the way Winston runs that offense combined with OSU's lack of experienced depth in the back seven.

I find that consensus among the voters that FSU is better than OSU to be particularly troubling. It's almost as if in their minds FSU is clearly better than OSU and there shouldn't be that kind of consensus at all. I guess that's the power of the media influencing popular perception. The Big Ten has been maligned by the media yearly, while the ACC is not scrutinized, even though the ACC champion has won half as many BCS games as OSU has. Yeah, so the Big Ten isn't particularly good right now, but it's still better than the ACC and always has been. I refuse to believe Clemson is particularly good. It is as if voters cling to OSU losing to Florida and LSU and the anti-Big Ten stigma, and somehow can't recall Clemson getting routed by West Virginia 70-33 in their only BCS appearance and don't comprehend that the ACC champs have won a grand total of 3 BCS games. Miami is crap, can't see how that win is worth anything for FSU in the rankings. OSU plays a tougher schedule than FSU, I don't think that is even debatable. It's as if FSU had that one big win over Clemson, and that was it, the voters had made up their mind that FSU was better than OSU unless FSU loses a game, and there's nothing OSU can do to change that opinion.
