i think the argument could be made that we are a few spots too high as well
11. UCLA is more overrated than OSU imo. #12 PSU & #15 GT are similar defense-first squads.

That leaves Rutgers, Arkansas (neither are t-10 teams) & Nebraska (who will earn their top-10 spot vs USC this week, or stay in the mid teens).

Herbie. :shake:

News from The Associated Press

Penn St. at #5 and Texas at #14? He's really gone off the deep end, hasn't he?
Virginia Tech at #17? I know LSU is good, but Top-25 teams don't get beat down like VT just did. Add to that that VT struggled with ECU in their opener (emotional back-drop or not) and VT just hasn't shown that they belong anywhere near #17 right now.

I've noticed some crazy PSU love from Herbie this year, his prediction all along of PSU winning the Big Ten. I think they are good, but I have yet to believe Morelli won't choke against either Wisky or tOSU

I honestly think Herbie does that stuff to other B10 teams to try and induce fat/laziness while firing up OSU. Its not that big a deal imo and if it works, then fine, if not he doesn't look like an OSU homer.

As far as the polls this week,

-UL is obviously gone so we should move up some from that. Also interested to see if we pick up votes from UCLA getting killed just behind us.

-Texas needs to keep dropping. Don't know if they will fall below us but it needs to trend in that direction.

-Interested to see if the punish Wisky for having a 3 quarter dog fight with the Citadel. I'm thinking yes.

My poll right now
t1. USC
t1.UF
3. LSU
4. OU but my BS detector still remembers '03 and '04 with this team.
5-25 pickem. I refuse to put WVU up here, one dimensional teams with one dimensional offenses are not legit NC contenders. Texas, Wisky, OSU, PSU all have flashes but all have legit questions.

OSU is working its way up there but its a large gap bewteen those 3-4 teams and the rest right now imo.

Gained 90 points in the coaches and 180 in the AP.

Only 27 points behind Texas in the AP and 31 behind Cal in the coaches.

Only Top 25 possible upset that I can see this week that could affect us are PSU @ tsun and Iowa @ Wisky. If either one struggles or loses its going to be more of the same for the B10's lack of credability this year.

Cal has to go to Oregon in 2 weeks.

BTW, how exactly in the fuck does VT stay in the top 25? I understand the sympathy vote angle but c'mon.
