The junior guard has been recognized three times in as many years by the AP.

“Another season, another All-American honor for Kelsey Mitchell.”

-Stephen Pianovich, Land of 10

Ohio State Buckeyes women’s basketball guard Kelsey Mitchell added yet another accomplishment to an already impressive season, as the junior was named a second team All-American by the Associated Press. Earlier this month, Mitchell was named Big Ten women’s basketball’s Player of the Year (coincidentally, she was also the conference pre-season Player of the Year). Mitchell was the Big Ten’s leading scorer, averaging 22.6 points per game and hitting 115 three-pointers on the season, good for second in the conference. In addition, Mitchell was the fastest player in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history to reach 2,000 career points. She is currently third in career points all-time at Ohio State.

The Cincinnati native led Ohio State to a Big Ten regular season title and an NCAA Tournament run that ended in the Sweet 16. As of now, Mitchell has not declared if she will return to Columbus for her senior season with the Buckeyes.

Mitchell was named a second team All-American following her phenomenal first season with the Buckeyes. She followed up her freshman campaign by earning first-team honors as a sophomore, becoming just the third Ohio State player in program history to do so.

Maryland’s Brionna Jones was the lone Big Ten representative on the first-team list, while Shatori Walker-Kimbrough, also of Maryland, made third-team.

J.T. Barrett is the first to admit that he has areas of his game that need to be addressed during spring practice. But like the Ohio State offense as a whole, it’s important to note that the veteran quarterback isn’t broken.”

-Austin Ward, ESPN

The consistent theme that Urban Meyer has emphasized during this offseason, especially on the offensive side of the ball, is “enhancement.” After a shutout loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl, the deficiencies which have been lurking under (and sometimes at) the surface of the Ohio State passing attack became alarmingly clear, owing to the need for new co-offensive coordinators and a quarterbacks coach. But, as Meyer has stated often, the system is not broken. It simply needs a boost. Senior quarterback J.T. Barrett is no exception. Despite holding most major program passing records--including 100 career touchdowns accounted for--and leading the Buckeyes to two College Football Playoffs in three years as a starter, Barrett still has room for improvement.

For starters, the offense in general and Barrett in particular are using spring practice to work on spreading the field more. With lapses in protection and receivers who couldn’t quite seem to reel in passes, Barrett was in a down position heading into throwing the deep ball on a given play. Still, he has room to improve on his own in terms of his arm strength and downfield delivery.

Ryan Day, Barrett’s new quarterbacks coach, has also stressed Barrett’s touch and accuracy throughout the spring. In particular, Day has stressed footwork while in the pocket. He has also implemented obstacle drills downfield to improve delivery of passes. All of this is in an effort to get Barrett’s completion percentage, which has declined the past two seasons since his redshirt freshman year, closer to the 65 percent mark he started with.

Finally, Barrett has started to work on improving his chemistry in the offseason. The first three-time captain in program history, Barrett has already earned the respect of his teammates and coaches, but he still has work to do in incorporating new pieces into the offense and working with offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson.

Worley might be the next best linebacker to come out of Ohio State. He’s a dog out there on the field and he’s on a path to be better than me.”

-Former Ohio State linebacker Raekwon McMillan, via Tim May, The Columbus Dispatch

The Buckeyes might be losing one of their great defensive leaders in Raekwon McMillan to the NFL Draft, but the defense seems to be in good hands under Chris Worley, who looks to fill McMillan’s role at middle linebacker. Despite arriving at Ohio State as a safety, Worley wound up at outside linebacker, competing with future-first rounder Darron Lee for the starting spot. While Lee won the initial battle and wound up starting for the Buckeyes during their national title run, Worley was an easy choice to fill his position once Lee departed the program. Having already changed positions from safety to linebacker, Worley credits himself as being one of the “most dynamic players in the country,” giving him confidence as he makes yet another move from outside to inside linebacker.

That confidence is backed up by McMillan himself, who has watched as Worley prepares to fill the big shoes he left behind. “He’s a great linebacker, and he can be one of the next All-Americans here at Ohio State,” McMillan said. Worley had 70 tackles last season, which was good for fourth on the team, playing next to McMillan.

More than that, though, defensive coordinator Greg Schiano credits Worley’s intelligence in helping him to shift to his new role. “He’s just a really, really smart football player; he’s a guy who I think understands the game at a very high level,” Schiano said.

As Worley works to replace McMillan, he understands that making tackles is just one part of the game. Adjusting the defense on the field and, most importantly, leading the unit are two components that he is already working to turn up heading into the fall. “But I was still a leader last year and I helped a lot of guys out,” Worley said. “It’s another notch now, and I’m ready for it.”

“Everybody is trying to analyze it. The bottom line is we need to win. That’s it.”

-Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith, via Tim Shoemaker, Eleven Warriors

A struggling Ohio State men’s basketball program has led to lower and lower attendance in recent seasons. With Thad Matta failing to reach 20 wins for the first time during his tenure as head coach of the Buckeyes, interest in Ohio State basketball has reached an all-time low, with average attendance sitting at 12,324 per home game. The Buckeyes went 13-6 in 19 home games, with a poor 4-5 record in conference play.

Value City Arena is one of the largest basketball venues in the NCAA, with a 18,909-person capacity. Given the scale and the occasional down year, constant sellouts are not expected, and it is not a loud or crazy venue like Duke or Kansas. This year, however, the Buckeyes didn’t sell out at all, and only had two games with attendance above 15,000, and there were large stretches of empty seats that were well-visible even to a TV audience. Even attendance at conference home games was down to 13,258 per game--nearly 600 less than last year. Still, Ohio State’s Jan. 15 matchup against Michigan State was as close as the Buckeyes could get to a sell out, with announced attendance at 17,449.

This season marked the third-straight decline in men’s basketball attendance at Ohio State (though technically, last season’s attendance includes two poorly-attended NIT games, which brings down the total). Unfortunately for the Buckeyes, things aren’t necessarily looking up in the future. There are currently no star players for Ohio State (think how D’Angelo Russell boosted excitement during his one-year campaign with the Buckeyes), and Thad Matta isn’t putting forth a unique or intriguing brand of basketball. Combined with the fact that most of the core roster is returning, that style is unlikely to change heading into next season. Unless Matta and the players on the current roster can generate some excitement and on-court success, it is likely that attendance will continue to spiral downwards.

The Ohio State Coaching Staff (Official Thread)

AN ATTEMPT TO PROJECT THE LENGTH OHIO STATE'S NEW ASSISTANT COACHES WILL WORK FOR URBAN MEYER

81023_h.jpg,qitok=3Hcsm6wJ.pagespeed.ce.gprOrvOxAe.jpg

We remain in the dark about how much money Ohio State will pay new assistant coaches Ryan Day, Kevin Wilson and Billy Davis.

We also do not know how many seasons they signed on for with the Buckeyes. Despite multiple follow-ups attempts to open records submissions requesting the details of each man's contract, the University has yet to release the information. The Public Records Office said the contracts "have not been finalized," so there are no responsive records available.

Each assistant was announced as a member of Urban Meyer's 2017 football staff at different times. It makes sense to believe they will remain in Columbus for different lengths as well.

“There is no guarantee and there is no predicting,” Davis, the team's new linebackers coach, said recently.

Wilson jumped at Meyer's offer to be his next offensive coordinator and tight ends coach, which the program finally made public on Jan. 10 after weeks of rumors and speculation. Reports surfaced on the same day that former coordinator Ed Warinner was headed to Minnesota to be P.J. Fleck's new offensive line coach.

Wilson was unemployed a little more than a month. He resigned as head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers on Dec. 1 amid allegations of player mistreatment, though athletic director Fred Glass cited "philosophical differences" as the reason the two sides divorced. Wilson doubled down during his first press availability in Columbus on March 9.

33413652792_fd6cb502ef_z.jpg.pagespeed.ce.nI6XAZozvX.jpg

“We wouldn't be here, doing this job, if those things are true,” Wilson said.

In any event, Meyer checked all the boxes with Gene Smith before he pulled the trigger on Wilson, who is tasked with righting an Ohio State passing attack that woefully failed the Buckeyes in 2016. He joins Day, the new quarterbacks coach, in the effort to enhance and augment not only J.T. Barrett's production through the air but the offense's as a whole. And all Davis has to do is step in for a program legend, Luke Fickell.

“We changed a lot of little things. We changed all the coaches’ offices and where they’re at. We changed little things about who goes first. The offense is down here now,” Meyer said on March 7. “I think you just have to, Year 6, change the paint on the building a little bit. It’s been all positive so far.”

But how long will these new faces stick around? If you earn the right to work for Meyer and Ohio State, chances are you'll get an opportunity to move on to bigger and better such as becoming a head coach, provided that is your goal. Tom Herman did it. Everett Withers did too. So did Chris Ash. Fickell was the most recent assistant to take a head coaching job. Stan Drayton and Mike Vrabel went to the NFL. The list goes on.

Here is an outlook for each new assistant's time at Ohio State, what they said about their commitment to the program and what it means for the future.

KEVIN WILSON — OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR AND TIGHT ENDS COACH
Wilson wasn't explicitly asked if he and Meyer had a conversation about the length of his commitment to Ohio State. But he did make it pretty clear that he felt it was important to get back on the sidelines immediately following his unceremonious exit from Bloomington. Then, Meyer pounced.

“I love coaching. I love working with kids. Never thought about not doing it,” he said. “Grateful for the opportunity and blessed to have the opportunity to Coach Meyer for reaching out, for Mr. Smith and the coaches and players embracing me.”

Indiana was Wilson's first chance at a head coaching job and all things considered, he did well. Wilson went just 26-47 in six seasons but in 2015 led the Hoosiers to their first bowl appearance since 2007 — just the second for the program in 23 seasons. Indiana's rise from relative obscurity earned Wilson a fat six-year contract worth more than $15 million, which he signed on the day of the national championship game for the 2015 season, Jan. 11. That is old news now since Wilson works in Columbus but goes to the argument that he can turn around a program

Does he want to be a head coach again? Probably. Meyer typically asks for a two-year commitment from his assistants before they seek employment elsewhere. But having the blessing of a three-time national championship coach is a pretty strong bargaining chip, should those negotiations take place. But Wilson is now the second former head coach Ohio State currently has on staff, joining defensive coordinator Greg Schiano.

“I was worried about that,” Meyer said. “The first one I think I hired was Dan McCarney at Florida. He was a very successful head coach and he came in and there was no duty that was — he just did everything. Joker Phillips came here last year and was an SEC head coach and came in and did a lot of scout work for us, those type of things.

“Then you had Greg Schiano and now I have Kevin Wilson and it’s to be determined but the initial reaction is over the top. He’s jumped right in, he’s one of the soldiers and we’re going to work.”

Wilson has to retool his image some while at Ohio State. His kids are mostly grown, with the youngest set to graduate from Indiana soon. If he coordinates the offense the way everyone expects him to, it wouldn't be a shock if an athletic director came calling in a year or two.

The Ohio State coaching staff have played host to numerous prospects recently. Hear from some of those recruits.

Urban Meyer and the rest of his Ohio State coaching staff haven’t just been busy trying to get the next group of Buckeyes ready for the season- the staff has also had their handful with top prospects visiting the program.

Over the last week or so Meyer and crew have played host to a large list of recruits from the 2018 and 2019 classes.

Having a chance to talk with the Ohio State staff and get a better feel on what it would be like to suit up for the Buckeyes, many of the recruits left Columbus highly impressed.

Want to know what some of the recent visitors had to say about their time at Ohio State? Land-Grant Holy Land caught up with the following recruits and grabbed their opinions on the Buckeyes and more:

2018 CB Houston Griffith

Town: Chicago,IL/IMG Academy (FL)

Size: 6’1/192

Offers: Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, Michigan State, Notre Dame, etc

Thoughts: “It was a good visit. I watched practice and talked with Coach Meyer, Coombs, and Schiano. They made it clear to my family and I that they want me to be a Buckeye and will continue to recruit me hard. They are one of the schools at the top of my recruitment.”

2018 WR Nate Bauer

Town: Akron,OH/Archbishop Hoban

Size: 6’1/185

Offers: Boston College, Minnesota, Syracuse, Toledo, etc

Thoughts: “The visit was great. I loved how competitive the practice was. I also enjoyed talking to coaches after practice. I talked to Coach Day. They said they really like me and if I do good at one of their camps they will offer. To get an offer would mean a lot to me. It's a dream school.”

2019 QB Michael Johnson Jr.

Town: Eugene,OR/Sheldon

Size: 6’3/185

Offers: Ohio State, Oregon, Arizona, Florida State, Mississippi State, etc

Thoughts: “The trip was good. What stood out the most was how the players strive in life after football. I spoke with coach Meyer, Day, and Wilson. They all said they liked me and think I can come there and do great things. It’s a great honor. When I think of OSU football I think of national championships as the standard.”

2019 ATH Mershawn Rice

Town: Reynoldsburg,OH/Reynoldsburg

Size: 6’2/165

Offers: Kentucky

Thoughts: “The trip to OSU was a great experience. We got to see the facility and watch the practice. What stood out to me was the Team Up North Period. We talked to Kevin Wilson, and I spent most of my day with Ed Terwilliger. They were telling me to keep working hard, and keep your head on straight and don't mess up for yourself. And as far as I know I'm being recruited as a safety. I will be making another trip to OSU later this year.”

2019 DT Justin Britt

Town: Indianapolis,IN/Warren Central

Size: 6’4/270

Offers: Indiana

Thoughts: “The trip was awesome. I got to see a lot of things like the trophy room and the stadium. They also allowed us to go in the locker room. Coach Meyer brought us into his office to talk to us. The thing that stood out the most was the team up north period. This is when they play last season’s highlights from the Michigan game on the screen and the team starts to cheer. The period allows the team to raise the intensity of practice. They said that they were interested and that they wanted me to go to some summer camps.”

2019 DE Beau Robbins

Town: Carmel,IN/Carmel

Size: 6’5/225

Offers: Indiana, Bowling Green, Central Michigan

Thoughts: “It was a great visit. I was very impressed by everything. All of the facilities were very nice and watching the practice was really fun. I also got to see the stadium and go out on the field which was a cool experience. I talked to Coach Coombs a lot. We discussed developing a relationship and visiting Ohio State again in the future.”

2019 OL Julius Buelow

Town: Kapolei,HI/Kapolei

Size: 6’7/292

Offers: BYU, Hawaii, Oregon State, Utah, etc

Thoughts: “The trip to OSU was great. When we flew up to Ohio last week I had no idea I'd have an opportunity to tour the football facilities, meet all the coaches, and walk in the stadium. I did a campus tour first. It's huge but they made it seem smaller with how all the buildings and classes are arranged. I like the atmosphere of both the school and football department. It was a great trip and I hope I get to came back up for one of the camps.”

Quick Hits

  • Standout 2019 quarterback Michael Johnson Jr. wasn’t the only prospect to leave Columbus with an offer from the Ohio State coaching staff over the weekend. Four-star defensive end John Waggoner out of Dowling Catholic in West Des Moines, Iowa also received a chance to rock the Scarlet and Gray on the college level during his visit to OSU on Saturday. Starting to heat up on the recruiting scene, the 6-foot-5, 230-pounder adds the offer from the Buckeyes alongside scholarships to play at Iowa, Florida, Indiana and Michigan to name a few.

Better late than never.

If you live in Columbus, OH, hopefully you’re safe.

With possible weather conditions conducive to a tornado Sunday evening in the Central Ohio area, one can understand why a local news station might want to keep readers and the surrounding metro area aware of what’s going on.

Unfortunately, WBNS 10TV, Columbus’ local CBS station, decided to pivot away from one of their better Elite Eight games in recent memory, a national title game caliber tilt between the two-seeded Kentucky Wildcats and the No. 1 seed North Carolina Tar Heels.

But while other stations were giving their viewers studio weather coverage, perhaps due to a technical difficulty, WBNS’ coverage looked a lot like this:

For those curious followers outside Columbus, how the final seconds of North Carolina-Kentucky went down here during tornado warning pic.twitter.com/KqI5Kts229

— Doug Lesmerises (@DougLesmerises) March 26, 2017

Meanwhile, in Memphis, with Kentucky trailing by 7 with 54 seconds to go, Big Blue manage to level things after a second Malik Monk three in the final 40 seconds. But North Carolina’s Luke Maye would have the final word:

We’re not advocating ever not keeping the public updated during an actual crisis, but maybe pick your spots, or at the very least, go split screen next time?

UPDATE — Credit where credit’s due, WBNS wound up airing the final 2 minutes at 8 p.m.:

10TV will air the last two minutes of the North Carolina vs. Kentucky game at 8:00 p.m.

On a day honoring two men lost by the respective programs, Ohio State lost both games of a doubleheader.

Baseball was played on Saturday at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, and while the doubleheader between Ohio State and Minnesota mattered insofar as it was part of the Big Ten schedule, the games took a backseat to honoring members of both programs that lost their lives to leukemia.

Buckeye pitcher Zach Farmer, who passed away in August 2015, and Gopher pitching coach Todd Oakes, who lost his battle last May, both fell victim to the horrific disease, and still serve as inspiration to their programs and a reminder to all of us fans that some things are bigger than wins and losses. The nonprofit organization Be The Match, which finds bone marrow donor volunteers for those afflicted with leukemia, was in attendance, Farmer’s father threw out the ceremonial first pitch, and both clubs wore orange wristbands in remembrance of their fallen comrades.

I wrote about Farmer’s passing for Land-Grant Holy Land back then, but I believe my former colleague Chris Webb captured who the young man was and what he meant to people on and off the field in a way I couldn’t. I hope you’ll take a minute to read it.

All of that said, there were games played, though Ohio State would likely prefer to forget them. The Buckeyes’ spiral towards a lost season continued, with the Gophers completing the weekend sweep.

Game one

On a day with the wind blowing out at Nick Swisher Field, Minnesota and Ohio State combined to hit five home runs in the first game of the doubleheader. The Gophers came out on top, 15-5, securing a series win in the first weekend of conference play. The Buckeyes were once again plagued by their trifecta of achilles heels: defensive miscues, ineffective pitching, and an offense that couldn’t string much together.

Ohio State managed just five hits in the ballgame as it suffered its fifth loss in the last six games.

Connor McDevitt and Jordan Smith both smacked three-run home runs for the Gophers, as they collected 17 hits and went 8-for-12 with runners in scoring position. Smith finished with four runs batted in, while McDevitt notched three, and Toby Hanson and Jordan Kozicky each had two.

Brett Schulze did what he needed to do on the mound to win, tossing five innings of five-run ball despite yielding just three hits. Relievers Nick Lackney and Tim Shannon combined to throw four shutout innings to close things out.

On a bright note for the Buckeyes, Noah West continued his strong play since being inserted into the lineup. The freshman second baseman went 1-for-2, hit his first collegiate home run, and extended his hitting streak to six games. Tyler Cowles and Jacob Barnwell also went deep, but the bats were held largely silent outside of that.

Sophomore Connor Curlis, making his first weekend start after two superb midweek outings, cruised through the first three innings. But sloppy defense and a loss of command in the fourth were his undoing. In all, Curlis went four innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out three and walking one as he took the loss.

Bullpen arm Reece Calvert let up seven runs of his own in 3.2 innings pitched, and Austin Woodby, not to be left out, gave up a run in his 1.1 innings of work as well.

Ohio State managed a run each against Schulze in both the first and third innings to take the early lead. Noah McGowan had an RBI groundout to score Tre’ Gantt in the first, and West followed followed in the third with a homer to left, making it a 2-0 game.

Curlis ran into trouble in the fourth, though. After a leadoff walk, two throwing errors on a sacrifice bunt attempt by Hanson brought Alex Boxwell all the way around to score, and Smith then roped a double off the wall to tie the game. After a one-out walk, McDevitt launched a three-run homer over the wall in dead center field, giving the Gophers a big, crooked number in the inning and a 5-2 lead.

But the Buckeyes bounced right back in the bottom of the frame, getting two of those runs back. Brady Cherry worked a two-out walk and Cowles crushed a hanging breaking ball out to left, his third longball of the season, cutting the deficit to one.

Curlis couldn’t slow down the Minnesota bats, though, and after two straight singles to open the fifth, was pulled in favor of Calvert. Calvert, who has struggled mightily in his first season with Ohio State, gave up a three-run home run to Smith. It was an 8-4 Gopher lead as the bullpen once again let the scarlet and gray down.

Barnwell hit the first home run of his career, a solo shot, with two down in the fifth, cutting the lead to 8-5. But it was indicative of the team’s performance that it was just the third hit mustered all game to that point.

A couple of quiet innings passed before Minnesota torched Ohio State pitching for another seven runs in the top of the eighth, putting any doubts about the game out of mind. McDevitt led off with a single against Calvert, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt, and came around to score on on an RBI single by Terrin Vavra.

After a Boxwell single put runners on the corners, Hanson delivered a two-run double to the right-center gap. He would come plateward thanks to an error by shortstop Jalen Washington.

But the misery did not end there for Buckeye fans. Calvert walked Smith before being relieved by Woodby, whose second pitch was knocked into the gap in right-center by Kozicky, good for a two-run triple. Kozicky would then score on a passed ball by Barnwell before the inning mercifully came to a close with the Gophers on top by the winning margin.

Game two

Ryan Feltner was tabbed by Ohio State head coach Greg Beals to start the second game of the double dip and try to avoid the sweep. Minnesota had other designs, though, racking up another 13 hits and withstanding a late comeback attempt to claim a 6-5 victory. The Gophers got their conference schedule started just the way they wanted to.

Feltner was only able to give Beals 4.2 innings of work, allowing four runs on 10 hits, walking three and striking out two before giving way to the bullpen. The sophomore’s record fell to 0-4 on the year, as his team plummeted to 9-14.

His counterpart for the Gophers, Toby Anderson, gave his club some length, pitching into the seventh. In 6.2 innings of work, the right-hander allowed four runs, only two of which were earned, to pick up the win.

Boxwell homered and drove in a pair for Minnesota, which saw all but one player in the lineup record at least one hit.

Another freshman was a bright spot for the Buckeyes, as Dominic Canzone drove in a career-high three runs as part of a 2-for-3 performance at the plate. Washington went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, and Cherry had a pair of doubles, the only other members of the lineup with multi-hit games.

As in the lidlifter, Ohio State staked itself to an early lead, scoring a run in the second off Anderson. Zach Ratcliff reached on an error by Kozicky at third and Cherry doubled to give the Buckeyes a pair in scoring position with nobody out. Cowles then lifted a fly ball to center field that was deep enough to bring Ratcliff home for the 1-0 lead. Cherry moved to third, but was stranded by a pair of groundouts.

It didn’t take the Gophers long to strike back, though, as they tied the game on a Boxwell sacrifice fly that scored Vavra in the top of the third.

Four straight hits to begin the fourth pushed Minnesota ahead once again. Matt Stemper led things off against Feltner with a double and Smith singled. Kozicky then doubled down the line in left, scoring Stemper, though Smith was thrown out at the plate on the relay. Kozicky scored on a McDevitt single back up the middle to make it a 3-1 ballgame.

Ohio State trimmed the lead to one in the bottom of the frame thanks another Kozicky error allowing Ratcliff to reach base. The Buckeye designated hitter moved up to second on a wild pitch, then came around to score on a single by Dominic Canzone.

But the Gopher onslaught kept up its pace in the top of five, as Boxwell led off the inning with an opposite field solo home run to push the lead back to two.

Once again, Ohio State managed a response, though, as Gantt singled with one out in the bottom of the fifth and advanced to second on a Barnwell sacrifice bunt. Washington delivered an RBI single back up the box to pull the Buckeyes to within 4-3.

That was as close as things would get the rest of the game for Ohio State. Minnesota put up another pair of runs in the sixth, one on an Eduardo Estrada RBI single that plated McDevitt and the other on a wild pitch by reliever Yianni Pavlopoulos that allowed Estrada to score.

The Buckeyes used a leadoff walk by Cherry in the bottom of the inning to score a run thanks to Canzone’s second RBI single, and made it a 6-5 game in the bottom of the eighth when he drove in his third run with a sacrifice fly that scored Ratcliff.

But Cherry was stranded at third representing the tying run in that frame, and the Gophers’ Brian Glowicki shut the door in the ninth.

Needless to say, this isn’t how Ohio State envisioned this weekend unfolding, but the reality is that this is a team with perhaps too many holes to be consistently competitive in the the conference. Less than a year removed from the elation of a championship and an NCAA tournament bid, the Buckeyes are clearly in danger of sinking to the bottom of the Big Ten barrel.

The homestand will continue this week with the Ohio University Bobcats visiting on Tuesday evening and Purdue in town for the next Big Ten matchup on Friday.
