ok - let me modify - I'm not going to stress over a 3 star safety who has a legacy at South Florida who was offered by someone who likely met and helped recruit him at a previous job.

It's these kids future, not mine. Even if I don't agree with their final selection, it's their selection and their future.

Oh 100% agree. Just saying what I would do. And once PE is involved the sport/college sports are done. It will be a slow march to extract all the value they can before leaving them bankrupt

Before we react shouldn’t we have better insight into Smith’s degree of reaction? Any school could offer, many likely have, but his response to those offers tells the story IMO. If he’s all Buckeye those offers will come and go, if he sees better opportunities with Hartline, due to familiarity with the coach, then he’ll likely tip his hand soon enough.
Just not sure the offer itself tells us much at this point.
