Well, have heard/read that the US optics (from satellites) can magnify pictures of the planet to extraordinary detail, so putting a camera outside the pollution and space debris might yield some great pics. Believe I'm going to do an ostrich on this one....

In undergrad, had a guy on the medicine track, that got A's in his classes, and a D in English. (PS, was an English speaker). Now, as a side, am moving back to Ohio, and while looking to rebuild my stable of doctors, have noted that many are from tOSU School of Medicine. So guess we'll see how many we/I interview to see if they're as good as we have here in the boondocks of California. Stay tuned. PS, is tOSU/Wexner Medical buildings a home for the unqualified med school grads? Kinda tongue in cheek, but also kinda serious....thanks

Wasn't there a movie way back when, believe it had OJ in it, that showed the government cover-up that the moon landings were fake? As opposed to all the other movies that showed Matt Damon being abandoned on the moon.....where's Elon and his sleuths when we need them?

So, to be clear, releasing saved the team $8M in salary cap. But they couldn't work a trade for a player to replace him, or augment another part of the team. Looks like the spin doctors made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Hope they get something good/great for that $8M....

Flacco is going to be needed, as don't read where the Bengals have strengthened their Oline. Or maybe Joe's workout includes running backwards, and changing directions several times (to simulate side-stepping tacklers).

I'm going to try to stay away from politics here, but I think I can explain why people are so headstrong about politics now, as well as believe in crazy conspiracy ideas.

Basically, my thought is that we are taught to think we're always right. In school, a teacher takes points off this essay for whatever reasons... rather than the student using it as a learning moment, he goes to the teacher to argue his point more. The presidential candidate I liked didn't win? Well, the other side must have cheated. They're all idiots, because they don't agree with me. You'd think the world revolves, sometimes, around whether ketchup should go on a hot dog. Who gives a fuck what one nerd does with his own hot dog. For cripes' sake...

Anyway, these 20 or 30 year olds you bring up... they believe the moon landing was fake. Why? Maybe the earth is flat, or the moon is an illusion. I think I heard someone once mention that space isn't real. Ha. So they had to fake the moon landings from 55+ years ago. And nothing has changed, since, so they have to fake them today, too. Maybe it's easier to contradict what we all agree is true than to admit that there's a chance that they were wrong all along.

However, I do have to disagree with you on the "no one benefits" thing. Let's just say for a second that we DID fake the moon landings 55 years ago. (For the record, I am not saying that I believe any of them were faked.) I can think of two benefits: first, our government just embezzled hundreds of millions, billions... more? dollars from the taxpayers. Sure, a bunch of that goes to hush-money. But expensive people who need to be hushed might find some strange accidents. This was the 1960's and 1970's, afterall. Second, if the Russians want to "keep up", they'd have to also spend billions... And that's money that they didn't have. A conspiracy theorist might believe that faking the moon landings was the beginning of the end for the Soviet Union.

Not specifically tOSU news; eventually this sort of thing will find itself that way.

Something I've been speaking about for the better part of 10 years. The inefficiency of the 4 year bachelor program. Hell, after leaving C'Bus, I saw how bloated a simple 2 year Assoc. path had become.

What took me 4 semesters (tOSU was on quarters around the same time) should have been 2. MAYBE 2.5, tops.

- I was not allowed to test out of any classes. As a result, I would sleep-walk through the bulk of my labs 1st year.
- My electives, especially 1st semester, were a complete waste of my time and money.

I'm in favor of a more refined, focused, and career-oriented educational process. I got into the non-clinical Healthcare field. I didn't need a Creative Writing or Public Speaking course.

Perhaps a 'Business/Operations Communcations' would have been more relevant.

Either way, I appreciate the conversation being had, in how we might better streamline higher education.

I would assume since it happened at school that someone brought them but I'm just speculating.

IMA have a stop you right there. We all know, after a good run, the ahole owners will sell the marketable talent.

I particularly liked the green screening of the launch in Florida. First class. You never would have guessed it wasn't real.

Mighty tall timber in my estimation. Unless Larry Ellison is picking up part of the tab, that's alot of moola for those car workers to put up on a continuous basis. The only saving grace, is that there's only 12-13 players on the basketball team, so might be easier to fund. The merry-go-round or the great mandala continues to turn.
