I think it’s in the eye of the beholder.I’m willing to dispute it. Holy Buckeye definitely saved that game and kept the dream season alive. But the team still needed to beat Illinois in OT and win The Game before playing for the title.
Sawyer’s play was in a playoff semifinal, and not only prevented a game-tying chance, it was a turnover and an 83-yard score to basically seal a victory. For me, it definitely ranks higher than Zeke’s dagger run against Bama and it’s my top Buckeye play ever.
But it’s certainly a more enjoyable topic than ’most painful loss’, which gets revisited more than necessary,
