2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Okay who the fuck wants to watch JMU against Oregon? Like fucking why? What the fuck is that shit? You could have had ratings off putting ND in there and I’d absolutely watch it. But no, let’s televise a 57-5 ordeal and give Oregon a bye for losing to the only good team they played all season.

Yeah k

or cut the field down A LOT.
7 teams at most deserve to be in this year.

give Indiana the lowest remaining seed after round 1.
other two round 1 winners play each other.

want to get in the field?
don’t fucking lose multiple games then whine about it.

the more we expand, the more we push where the controversy line is.
And expand the scope of controversy.

There are always more 2-3 loss teams than undefeated or 1 loss teams, so the more you expand, the more teams will whine

FSU was the main whiner in 2023. UGA had a case that year but they accepted their defeat in the CG (which used to mean something regarding playoff implications).

2025, we have ND, Vandy, Texas, BYU, and probably others I can’t even think of off the top of my head.

B1G CCG: #1 tOSU vs #2 Indiana in Indy, Sat. Dec 6th, 8 ET on FOX

I think he kindof is. He doesn't really make guys miss and fall forward.
Have you been watching the same guy that I've been watching? He makes plenty of guys miss, and he nearly always falls forward. The only thing he's lacking is breakaway speed.

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

JFC. Browns just lost again--at home--and this time to a team that was 1-10...despite outgaining them by 120 yards, having almost twice as many first downs, and outgaining them by almost two yards per play.
I don't understand how this outfit still has supporters. They've been shitting on a great fanbase for 26 years.

If it wasn't the Bucks being in the game and coming up just short, it would have been a great game to just watch and enjoy.
The guy sitting next to me was an impartial observer. He was marveling at IU's defense. He said it was like they were getting Ohio State's offensive calls because they were filling the passing lanes so fast.

For whatever that's worth.

OC/WR Coach Brian Hartline (National Champion, HC at USF)

I love Hart but I don’t know how you can call plays the rest of year the more I think about it. Every day/hour away is a day/hour less at practices, in the film room, instructing players, coaching the WRs and installing plays/playcalls.

I’m not sure how plausible it is to replace the OC in this timeframe, but Hartline is not going to be able to focus on both and that’s not good.

Letting them into the BTHC still grinds my fucking gears. Did some dumb fucks at the league office think that helping them in any way could possibly lead to some form of goodwill on their part?
Agree totally. They are convinced Knute Rockne is still relevant and that they are special above all special. The B1G should cut them loose in Hockey. There is no real advantage for the B1G.

QB1 Julian Sayin (All B1G, B1G Frosh of Year, All American, National Frosh of Year, National Champion)

Indiana crashed the right side of the offensive line, which has been an issue most of the year (but stood firm against the Weasels). The secondary also covered Buckeye WRs pretty well most of the time. Sayin was not ready to adapt to the speed needed to go through progressions. All of those problems seem to arise from the offense just not being ready for that game. I think the game just came too quickly after TCUN and without a concrete plan to handle Hartline's developments. They've got some time to sort that out now, but they need to get on top of it quickly.
