Nico Iamaleava (QB Tennessee, bad poker player, transfer to UCLA)

Is that a Morgan Wallen concert? Petyon....dude.....you're bigger than that. You don't need to be a prop in some chucklefuck's country music whatever that is.
Yeah, apparently the boosters were ALL over this kid and wanted to pull out all the stops to land him. My buddy's daughter helps with their recruiting department, and apparently they begged Peyton to come back and meet with the kid and his family. And he even allowed him in the "Manning room" at Neyland. Apparently Peyton has his own customized suite in Neyland that only he is allowed to let people have access to, and giving Nico and his family access was a MASSIVE deal, because there aren't any other recruits who have been known to have ever gotten a tour of this place... Welp

2025 Season: Are You Ready For Some Football?

Ohio State’s depth chart solidifies a little more after their 2025 Spring Game

Ohio State had its Spring Game this Saturday afternoon, with position battles taking center stage.

I projected Buckeye starters for 2025 shortly after they completed their 2024 National Championship season. Now, after completing their Spring Game, with the Scarlet beating the Gray 50-31, Ohio State doesn’t have many changes from January, but things are looking clearer. Quarterback Julian Sayin, wide receiver Mylan Graham, and cornerback Aaron Scott stood out the most for Ohio State.

Offense
QB: Julian Sayin OR Lincoln Kienholz
RB: CJ Donaldson
RB: James Peoples
TE: Max Klare
WR: Jeremiah Smith
WR: Carnell Tate
WR: Brandon Iniss
LT: Ethan Onianwa
LG: Luke Montgomery
C: Carson Hinzman
RG: Tegra Tshabola
RT: Phillip Daniels

Defense
DE: Caden Curry
DT: Eddrick Houston
DT: Kayden McDonald
DE: Kenyatta Jackson OR C.J. Hicks
LB: Arvell Reese
LB: Sonny Styles
DB: Davison Igbinosun
DB: Jermaine Matthews Jr.
DB: Caleb Downs
DB: Malik Hartford
DB: Aaron Scott Jr. or Devin Sanchez

Special Teams
K: Jayden Fielding
P: Joey McGuire
R: Caleb Downs

Quarterbacks

Lincoln Kienholz was the first quarterback to take snaps after he did really well at the Student Appreciation Day in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. He didn’t play poorly but was a little overshadowed by Julian Sayin, who looked sharp from his first snap. Kienholz started a little rusty but settled in late in the first half with some great throws to Graham and Iniss. I don’t envy the decision Ryan Day will eventually have to make between Kienholz and Sayin. I believe he'll go with Julian Sayin.

Tavien St. Clair had a couple of bad interceptions, but the highly touted true freshman is young, and his struggles only show why Ryan Day will hope to keep Kienholz and Sayin on the roster through the year, no matter who the starter is. St. Clair did show that he wouldn’t quit and showed his athleticism and sheer raw potential after early struggles. He can run, and he threw a dime to fellow five-star freshman Quincy Porter toward the end of the third quarter.

Running backs

CJ Donaldson looked good early and was the first running back to see action. Sam Williams-Dixon got in before James Peoples, but it’s still Donaldson’s and Peoples’ to lose. They’ll look to be a tandem like Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson. Williams-Dixon and Bo Jackson will be right behind them, though, as Jackson showed some flashes of brilliance today.

Wide Receivers

We know it goes Smith, Tate, and Iniss with Klare at tight end. Mylan Graham is going to make some plays, though. He made some really good catches and ran some good routes today. He’ll push for playing time. Ohio State is just so loaded with pass catchers. Max Klare looked great, and Jelani Thurman backed him up and pushed him as well.

DE Omari Abor (transfer to SMU)

It would appear he regrets it
Or he is way better off and has secured the bag.
I may regret asking but what is "SMD"? I Know what SMH means. Hopefully I'm wrong

Former Ohio State football player regrets transferring from the Buckeyes

A former Buckeye player seems to regret leaving the Ohio State football program.

The Ohio State football program has had more than a few players transfer away in recent years. In the world of NIL, players have been on the move in search of a bigger payday. Tennessee is dealing with that with Nico Iamaleava but on a much bigger and more public scale.

Former Buckeye defensive end Omari Abor decided to transfer from the Ohio State Buckeyes last season after just one year with the team. He decided to transfer to SMU, which is where he played this past season. He had just two tackles for the Mustangs this year.

Abor left and missed out on Ohio State winning a national championship. It was frustrating for him, although his Mustangs did make the CFP. Still, it looks like Abor is regretting transferring out of Ohio State, and he put his frustrations on social media for all to see.

Abor seemed to imply that the only reason he left Columbus was to get a higher NIL payment, and that doesn't seem to be working out for him.

Just sayin': He only played in 2 games for SMU in 2024.
Redshirt Sophomore (2024): Appeared in two games.
At Ohio State: Appeared in five games as true sophomore in 2023 … did not play as a freshman in 2022.

Shit still feels surreal..after the scum game I was furious. Just couldn’t see what was about to happen. This game and that playoff run was something I’ll never forget. I appreciate all of you who deal with emotional people like me during games.lol. Who has it better than us? OH..IO
100% agreed. Still not sure why it took until the playoffs to see the team that everyone knew was in there, but better late than never

Ohio State Tight Ends Flash Potential to Be Best Room in College Football During Buckeyes’ Spring Game

Keenan Bailey didn’t mince words on March 27 when asked whether this year’s tight end room is the deepest he’s had at Ohio State.

“It’s got to be,” Bailey said. “Just because – we had how many guys play in the natty? We had four or five tight ends. We had all six play in the playoffs. And four of those six are back. So yeah, we've got tons of guys in that room that have started college football games. And not just against the school down the street, like, big-time moments and big-time games. So, yeah, we're super deep.”

Observers of the Buckeyes’ spring game witnessed Bailey’s words become prophecy. Four Ohio State tight ends logged at least two receptions in the scrimmage, totaling 10 receptions for 114 yards as a unit. They accounted for 25% of the team’s receptions and 26% of its receiving yards.

Despite missing the services of Will Kacmarek, a major contributor to last year’s national championship team, who was out with an injury, Ohio State put its tight end talent and depth on display in the spring game as the position room aims to be the nation’s best in 2025.

“We're past the stage of, ‘OK, here's what it's going to be like on Saturday,’” Bailey said last month. “Almost all the guys in that room have done it. So now I can challenge them even more to go be the best tight end room in the country. We're at Ohio State. If you’re not up to that challenge, then go somewhere else.”

Those four tight ends noted by Bailey with College Football Playoff experience lay the foundation for a fantastic unit this year. Kacmarek saw 143 snaps in Ohio State’s four CFP games. Bennett Christian played 55, Jelani Thurman played 16 and Max LeBlanc played three. But the biggest potential star of the room didn’t play a down for the Buckeyes in 2024.

Ryan Day confirms Ohio State to visit White House on April 14

Ohio State coach Ryan Day confirmed Monday that the Buckeyes national championship football team will visit the White House on April 14.

"It's an honor to be invited," Day said. "I remember growing up and watching the national championship teams go to the White House. I always looked at that, like, 'Man, what an honor that would be.' So, it's part of the celebration of our team. I'm looking forward to getting that all planned out."

Just sayin': It's scheduled for 3 PM
