Don’t forget the PSL….There is no incentive for the owners to do anything differently. Their net worth has jumped tremendously. They are getting massive public money for their ego project (new stadium). And when the numbers don’t add up from the new place they will cry poor and get more public money. Plus, fans continue to flock to their games and the rest will be the cost of season tickets to the new venue. I expect they will follow the trend of reducing number of seats while jacking ticket prices.
He does fit their holier than thou attitude
I mean, he’s no Mark Grace either. I get where you are coming from, btw. I mean, I take Dunn all day everyday over Dave Kingman.Ahead of his time as in 3 true outcome guy > singles hitters (normal singles hitters, not Boggs)
And for the record, 20.8 of his career 25.g fWAR was delivered during his 7 years as a Red. 2.97 WAR per year with a high of 5.3 in '04 and people were bitching about strikeouts and him jogging to the outfield while we had the worst pitching in the league.
On that note, it will be interesting to see if GMs see him more like Manziel or Mayfield in terms of attitude. With the _ pick of the 2026 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select……
Not only that he's 5'9 or something looking at the Heisman ceremony so he needs all the help he can get and not thatDear NFL GM's,
look at the baggage I will bring with me.
Love,
Diego

What are we doing here? Ahead of his time with an 18 WAR? 1.5 WAR per 162 games. Wade Boggs, who apparently was behind the times, had a 91.4 WAR. 6.1 per 162 games. Nearly identical OPS numbers, btw.

In today's baseball his value would have been properly identified.
Instead he had that fucking idiot Marty and his 'I played baseball when I was a kid so I know the game" mob of bigger morons he channeled still jerking off to Pete Rose posters and talking about batting average.
