Ahead of his time as in 3 true outcome guy > singles hitters (normal singles hitters, not Boggs)

And for the record, 20.8 of his career 25.g fWAR was delivered during his 7 years as a Red. 2.97 WAR per year with a high of 5.3 in '04 and people were bitching about strikeouts and him jogging to the outfield while we had the worst pitching in the league.

There is no incentive for the owners to do anything differently. Their net worth has jumped tremendously. They are getting massive public money for their ego project (new stadium). And when the numbers don’t add up from the new place they will cry poor and get more public money. Plus, fans continue to flock to their games and the rest will be the cost of season tickets to the new venue. I expect they will follow the trend of reducing number of seats while jacking ticket prices.
