I still think they get hammered. There's just too much evidence for them not to. That said, as I've stated throughout this whole ordeal, if they skate that's pretty much it for me and CFB. I'm already so disillusioned with all of the change that has happened, if blatant cheating that directly impacted the results on the field isn't taken seriously...that's it for me. There's no way I can take the sport seriously at that point. My fandom is already hanging on my a thread.

I'll leave it to the real X and O gurus but to my simple mind, Klare is the weapon that makes the defense easier to read, let alone what a good TE can do running through the middle of a 2 high safety defense.

Smith is such a difference maker he' forces the defense to be very predictable, now you add the specific weapon of a pass catching TE (or two) and theoretically the reads get very simple: 1) Smith is he bracketed? If so 2) look over the middle to where a LB is trying to run up the seam with a TE.

The safety shouldn't be able to help out both the corner and the LB. That's overly simplistic, I know. The defense is going to do somethings to fight back and disguise it but Smith is such a weapon, it's going to be very hard to do do.

If they develop a hitch in their step, it might very well be the red zone. That TE abusing the LB's down the middle gets mitigated as the field shrinks.

This is my exact thoughts as well. Fans get angry when kids take massive amounts to go to random schools, that's fine. OSU/Day have shown that they are going to find the guys that want to be Buckeyes, and he rewards them(the main example being no starters transferring). We can revisit this 2026 TTU class in 2-3yrs, but something tells me they're not going to be much better than they've been in the past. Even though there isn't really a salary cap, there actually is. These donors won't spend the same amount of money every single year. If TTU doesn't win an NC(or even the Big 12) in the next 2-3yrs, that money will slowly dry up(I'd put USC in the same sentence as TTU right now, money drys up if USC doesn't win big in 2-3yrs). Just like it has at aTm and at Miami. Oregon is literally being propped up by 1 man who's on borrowed time. Without Uncle Phil, Oregon comes crashing back to earth.

Come on guys. Think with your left brain, not the right. There is no evidence or indication that the NCAA will let these asshats off with a slap on the wrist. The process is the process. They are going at light speed for this organization. But mainly doing it "by the book" so that the weasels don't have any room to appeal. When it happens it will be glorious ....
