LSU RB JT Lindsey surrenders after warrant alleges he harbored two murder suspects in on-campus dorm

Lindsey's attorney says the player was unaware the two teenagers staying in his on-campus dorm were wanted by police

LSU freshman running back JT Lindsey surrendered to campus police Friday afternoon after a warrant was issued for his arrest on two felony counts of accessory after the fact to second-degree murder, his attorney told WAFB-TV. Lindsey is accused of allowing two teenagers wanted on murder charges -- 17-year-old Shemell Jacobs and 18-year-old Keldrick Jordan -- to stay in his LSU dorm earlier this year.

Jacobs and Jordan were arrested Monday inside the Nicholson Gateway dorms by the U.S. Marshals Service.

The two suspects allegedly stayed in Lindsey's on-campus apartment for nearly two weeks. Marshals said they found multiple firearms in the unit, including two AR-15 rifles, a Draco and a Glock. Jacobs and Jordan are wanted in connection with a fatal shooting of 17-year-old Corey Brooks in Alexandria, Louisiana, in May. Lindsey and the two suspects are from Alexandria.

Lindsey's attorney, Kris Perret, told WAFB that Lindsey was unaware Jacobs and Jordan were wanted by police when he allowed them to stay at his dorm and denied any involvement in the crime. However, an arrest warrant alleges Lindsey knew the suspects were wanted, citing an interview with one of Lindsey's associates.

NFL Discussion (Official Thread)

Scoring a touchdown in preseason means nothing. It's not real football. so stop with this nonsense about buckeyes scoring TDs in their first game. None of this means anything. If a player runs the ball in preseason, but never makes it to a NFL roster in regular season is he a real player? Nope.

Game Thread #1 Texas at #2/#3 tOSU, Sat. Aug. 30th, 12pm ET, FOX

Fair point. On the other end I don't see how anyone is expecting Arch to carve up our secondary either though. This game likely will come down to which young QB doesn't make the back breaking mistake.
I like our defense overall better than Texas. I guess maybe you could call the offenses a wash with 2 new QBs. Smith gives us a slight edge though IMO. But this is about as close as an even matchup as it gets on paper.
I like our offense way better than Texas’ offense. Will be interesting to see if they have an answer this year overall for our skill.

To me it comes down to (other than the typical things like turnovers) OSU just has more ways to make plays. I don’t buy the hype for manning so I don’t think it’ll be enough to get it done vs the silver bullets

Cleveland Browns (Factory of Sadness)

Anyone can have whatever opinion they want on Shedeur….the one thing he “should” get credit for is how he stands in the pocket and is willing to take shots.

At Colorado his O-line sucked….he took a lot of sacks and turned it over a bit too much…..but, he also made tons of throws from uncomfortable pockets and moved the pocket in ways to make positive plays.

I think he can be a good NFL QB….not elite, but solid.
Outside of the speeding thing, he's seemed to be pretty low-key since they drafted him. He seems like just another rookie mid-round QB fighting for a spot. Not at all what I expected. I think most people were expecting a total circus act, and I was definitely one of them. Maybe sliding so far in the draft actually humbled him and to his credit, he seems to be putting in the work. The litmus test will be if he ever tastes success; does he stay humble or does that bring out the old, cocky Shadeur.
