LSU Baseball (8x National Champions)

good opening series Sweep.
yeah it was only Milwaukee, but still nice to come out looking good that first weekend

15-5 Friday night
5-3 Saturday
21-6 Sunday

Brown and Dardar each hit 2 bombs
Yorke and Arrambide each hit one (and Yorke really hit tow, but one was called foul)
Opening weekend sweeps are always nice

If you could change the outcome of one Ohio State football game, which would you choose?

I didn't start following CFB as heavily until this century. I wouldn't change anything in the Cooper era since more wins might butterfly effect him into coaching longer and not starting the modern era of Buckeye domination. The Florida loss for the championship comes to mind since it was for a ring. Outside of that I'd love for Stroud to have a pair of gold pants over the cheaters.

Great question. I'd have a tough time choosing amongst these:
1995 cheaters
1996 cheaters
2021 cheaters
2022 cheaters
2023 cheaters
2024 cheaters (but this may be the first on the list to get cut)

Others I would consider:
1998 Sparty
2005 Penn State (the Rail)
2016 Clemson
2020 Bama
2022 Georgia
2025 Miami

2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

I WANT the program to succeed but from my observation Diebler just isn't very good as a coach. If you aren't gonna pony up big money you need a coach who can coach his ass off and IMO at this moment Diebler has not shown that he is that guy. I understand they probably aren't going to get some big name hire and there are no assurances they will "upgrade" but you at least gotta try. Give him 1 more year but if he doesn't somewhat comfortably get into the tourney next season it's time to move on and try someone else.

No Diebler in the grand scheme is not directly the problem of why the program is swimming in mediocrity, but unless he shows something significantly different next season you 100% move on and try someone else. I just don't see the justification of sticking with a guy who's not getting it done for 4-5-6 years and hoping maybe there's finally a spark. That'll just bury the program further.
NIL has Diebler at a huge disadvantage compared with teams like UM. If you can't see that and recognize there is something there that is very real and holding him back, you're just being willfully ignorant. I do believe there will be some more funds for next season - it may be they will still be behind top programs by a significant amount, but it should be different from the way they were truly held back by the university last offseason. You want to pin Diebler to a team that OSU hasn't invested competitive resources in, as if its mainly his fault, and it's wrong.

Did Jake Diebler kill your dog or something? YOU HAVE ZERO PLAN TO MAKE THE PROGRAM BETTER. YOU SAY "FIRE DIEBLER, FIRE DIEBLER, FIRE DIEBLER" and claim there are unnamed better coaches who will take over the program, without ever providing details, without ever providing any inkling of an argument that can be disproven. You have no depth to your arguments, you can't progress beyond attacking Diebler to actually providing anything resembling a real plan for improvement, and you are so pie-in-the-sky about this coaching job that you are delusional. You ignore the reality that FOOTBALL IS KING AT OHIO STATE AND WILL ALWAYS GET FAR MORE RESOURCES THAN BASKETBALL, TOP COACHES KNOW THIS AND WON'T COME TO OHIO STATE BECAUSE OF IT.

You hear what Gus Johnson said in the game yesterday? He pointed out the obvious, OSU is not investing heavily in basketball because they're putting everything they can into football. Everybody realizes this but you. Like it or not, the reality is this program is going to be an afterthought for the foreseeable future, and any hoops coach that OSU has is going to have to deal with the constraints that come with mediocre resources and support. Once again, top coaches WILL NOT come to a program that will only provide mediocre resources and support. It simply will not happen. But hey, keep living in fantasy world acting like Jake Diebler is the real root of the problem, and keep attacking him every hour on the hour as if it does anything more than irritates fans who actually want the program to succeed. To anyone who watches every game (I also apologize to anyone who does this), what would you say is the identity of the team? I've watched maybe a half dozen games this year but I'm unclear as to what they can hang their hat on when their shots not falling....not good on the boards, not a lights out shooting team, not a defensive stalwart, not bully ball, not 40 minutes of hell press....
They hang their hat on $ for Ohio State. They're keeping costs low with men's basketball to help keep dozens of non-revenue sports. That's the whole focus of the program.

Team has had no identity pretty much dating back to the after Oral Roberts loss part of the Holtmann era. Go figure when you just hand the job to the assistant of the guy you just fired it's a continuation of the same issues.

1969 - without that 24-12 loss, the SuperSophs would have had a 3-peat. The Natty for the 1970 Coaches poll was awarded before the bowl games, and tOSU would have been ahead of Texas if they’d been defending 2 Natties. The loss to Stanford would have only affected the AP poll.

The Florida loss after the 2006 season and the 1976 Rose Bowl loss in Archie’s last game are the next closest for me.
